Geoffrey Brock: An Interview With Serena Agusto-Cox
Poet & Translator Geoffrey
You've done quite a bit of translation work, what draws you to translation and what languages do you work most in?
I began translating as a way of reading and studying Italian poets I was interested in. It's the closest kind of reading. It was also one of the ways I taught myself to write poetry. It's a wonderful apprentice activity for poets, though of course it can also be a lasting part of a poet's vocation.
Could you explain the process of choosing...
National Poetry Month Celebration
To celebrate National Poetry Month, Deborah Ager will interview 32 Poems editor John Poch.
Have you ever wanted to ask a poetry editor of a national magazine questions about publishing, writing, and poetry?
Well, guess what?
Post your questions in the comments here, and I'll ask John. We'll post the interview right here on April 20, 2010 as part of the Savvy Verse and Wit poetry blog tour.

On Formalist Poetry by Lesley Jenike
Lesley Jenike's poems have appeared in 32 Poems and will be appearing soon in The Journal, Diode, and Drunken Boat. Her first book of poems, Ghost of Fashion, was published May 2009 by CustomWords. The Writer's Center Interviews 32 Poems
Thank you to The Writer's Center for interviewing us on the history and mission of 32 Poems Magazine.
Tell us about 32 Poems. What separates it from other literary journals?
I started 32 Poems in 2003 with John Poch. We're celebrating our seventh anniversary with plenty of chocolate cake.
The magazine contains 32 poems, helps promote the writers it publishes, and fits into a purse without breaking your shoulder in half. Poems that first appeared in 32 Poems have appeared in the Best American...

32 Poems Spring 2010
32 Poems Magazine has existed since 2003. I am eating LOADS of chocolate to celebrate. I think editor John Poch — who is over in Spain — is eating a lot of lobster wrapped with bacon. He might hate lobster and bacon. Maybe he's eating oranges instead — or olives.
When I started 32, there were doubters, my good friend.
You're an indie magazine. How can you survive? Print is dead. You're not The Kenyon Review!
I don't listen to doubters. I do it anyway.
I'm actually allergic to negative people...
