Laufey announces "A Matter of Time Tour" throughout North America

LAUFEY ANNOUNCES “A MATTER OF TIME TOUR” THROUGHOUT NORTH AMERICA Credit: Emma Summerton “Otherworldly artist”—TIME“Laufey takes her audience on a spell-binding journey”—People“she is a musical tour de force”—Los Angeles Times“There’s a little bit of magic in every Laufey song.”—ElleMay 29, 2025—On the heels of announcing her highly anticipated forthcoming album A Matter of Time, coming August 22, and its lead single “Tough Luck,” GRAMMY®-winning Icelandic-Chinese artist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Laufey has confirmed the “A Matter of Time Tour” in partnership with AEG Presents. Starting in September, the tour will see Laufey bringing her enchanting and theatrical live show to her largest North American venues to date including Madison Square Garden in New York City, Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Capital One Arena in Washington DC, TD Garden in Boston, among others, as well as the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Suki Waterhouse (Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, I Can’t Let Go) will support on all dates. The Artist Presale along with VIP Package sales begin Tuesday, June 3 at 10AM local time with General Onsale starting Friday, June 6 at 10AM local time. Sign up for early access to tickets at http://amatteroftimetour.com/. Additionally, Laufey recently announced The Laufey Foundation, with the primary mission of supporting young musicians with the resources they need, especially through youth orchestras, to reach their full potential. $1 of each ticket sold on the “A Matter of Time Tour’ will go towards The Laufey Foundation. As Laufey began to craft A Matter of Time, she felt freer than ever. “Every new album for me is a blank book of stories to write,” she says, and it’s true. An artist who pours her life experiences into her work, she infused 2022’s Everything I Know About Love with coming-of-age tales revolving around leaving home, and for 2023’s GRAMMY®-winning Bewitched she dove headlong into young love. Brought to life with sweeping orchestral arrangements, interwoven strains of bossa nova and jazz, and Laufey’s honeyed alto, those albums cemented Laufey as a star who can make sounds from bygone eras feel timeless. Now on A Matter of Time, Laufey further crystalizes her singular sound—one still rooted in her beloved influences, but which forgoes any strict standards or rules. “I’m constantly thinking about classical and jazz, how to properly preserve them and pay homage.” For this album she continues to do so while also noting, “I just wanted to let my heart wander.” To that end, she teamed with a pair of co-producers, one comforting and familiar—Spencer Stewart who worked with Laufey on her first two albums —and one new to her but deeply attuned to artists looking to open up: Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran). Feeling sonically unrestrained gave Laufey the space to share new sides of herself while exploring sometimes heavier themes. “People expect a pretty façade of girly clothes, fantastical stories, and romantic music,” she says. “This time, I was interested in seeing how I could draw out the most flawed parts of myself and look at them directly in the mirror.” A Matter of Time finds Laufey at her most daring—and also playful—as she captures the experience of “real love” in its many forms and what it means to observe as it strips you down to your most vulnerable and anxious.Watch Laufey perform “Tough Luck” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! HERE.Laufey (pronounced lay-vay) has captivated a generation with virtuosic songs of love and self-discovery by manifesting her vision of jazz-and classical-infused pop music. She has become a bridge for the older music she adores, from Chet Baker to Carole King to Ravel, by offering her bold interpretation to a younger crop of listeners who have become deeply connected over time. This was all by design — Laufey’s self-assigned raison d’être — and it worked, allowing her to bring to life the whimsical universe known as “Laufey Land.”Raised between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C., she learned piano and cello as a child, later studying at Berklee College of Music. There, she wrote her debut EP, 2021’s Typical of Me, whose striking single “Street by Street” debuted at No. 1 on Icelandic Radio—the first of many achievements that have grown to include 5 billion global streams, a social media audience of 25 million, the biggest jazz LP debut in Spotify history and an album in Billboard’s Top 20 (both for Bewitched), a growing pile of Platinum plaques, a Forbes 30 Under 30 designation, and being named one of TIME’s 2025 Women of the Year. She’s sold out the Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, and London’s Royal Albert Hall; performed backed by the LA Phil, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the China Philharmonic Orchestra; shared the stage with the likes of Jon Batiste and Raye; and collaborated on records with artists ranging from Beabadoobee to Norah Jones. A Matter of Time is available for pre-order here.LAUFEY LIVEMay 31—Popload Festival—Sao Paolo, BrazilJuly 30—Virginia Arts Festival at Chartway Arena—Norfolk, VA*July 31—Virginia Arts Festival at Chartway Arena—Norfolk, VA*August 2—Chautauqua Institution—Chautauqua, NY†August 3—Chautauqua Institution—Chautauqua, NY†August 7—Blossom Music Center—Cuyahoga Falls, OH‡August 9—Saratoga Performing Arts Center—Saratoga Springs, NY§September 15—Kia Center—Orlando, FL**September 16—State Farm Arena—Atlanta, GA**September 18—Dickies Arena—Fort Worth, TX**September 20—Toyota Center—Houston, TX**September 21—Moody Center—Austin, TX**September 23—Desert Diamond Arena—Phoenix, AZ**September 24—Pechanga Arena—San Diego, CA**September 26—Crypto.com Arena—Los Angeles, CA**September 30—Chase Center—San Francisco, CA**October 2—Rogers Arena—Vancouver, BC**October 4—Climate Pledge Arena—Seattle, WA**October 6—Delta Center—Salt Lake City, UT**October 8—Red Rocks Amphitheatre—Morrison, CO**October 10—United Center—Chicago, IL**October 11—Target Center—Minneapolis, MN**October 13—Bridgestone Arena—Nashville, TN**October 15—Madison Square Garden—New York, NY**October 19—Scotiabank Arena—Toronto, ON**October 21—Place Bell—Laval, QC**October 23—Capital One Arena—Washington, DC**October 24—Wells Fargo Center—Philadelphia, PA**October 27—TD Garden—Boston MA***with The Virginia Symphony Orchestra†with The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra‡with The Cleveland Orchestra §with The Philadelphia Orchestra **with support from Suki Waterhouse

“If you’re ever going to be haunted, surrounded by several million dead people is the place. I’ve never felt so welcome in my life.”
—Joshua Homme

http://qotsa.com/

Queens of the Stone Age have confirmed a limited run of international theatrical screenings for the forthcoming concert film, Alive in the Catacombs. On June 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th, these special events will take place at theatres in 20 different countries. The theatrical events will give fans the first chance to experience the audiovisual document of the band’s long-rumored performance in the Catacombs of Paris. Full dates, details and tickets are available here

The screenings will also include a preview of an intimate behind the scenes documentary film, revealing the emotional and physical trials Queens of the Stone Age overcame to create Alive in the Catacombs.

The June 4th Los Angeles screening will be held at Brain Dead Studios and will feature an exclusive appearance by Joshua Homme who will introduce the film and follow the screening with Q&A. Select tickets are available here.

All proceeds will be donated to Homme’s own The Sweet Stuff Foundation.

Filmed and recorded in July 2024, Queens of the Stone Age: Alive in the Catacombs captures QOTSA as you’ve never seen or heard them before. This utterly unique once in a lifetime experience features a carefully selected setlist spanning the QOTSA catalog, each song chosen and epically reimagined for the Catacombs. The result is an unprecedented incarnation of QOTSA at their most intimate, yet surrounded by literally millions of human remains—“the biggest audience we’ve ever played for,” says Joshua Homme.

The film has already been tipped as “awe-inspiring” by DIY Magazine, “completely unique” by CLASH, “incredibly special” by Kerrang! and “revelatory” by Uncut Magazine.

The Catacombs of Paris is a sprawling 320km (200 miles) ossuary beneath the surface of Paris. With a foundation of several million bodies buried in the 1700s, skeletal remains are largely exposed, with much of the walls built of skulls and bones.

Homme had dreamt of staging a QOTSA performance in the Catacombs since his first visit nearly 20 years ago. The city of Paris, however, had never granted permission to any artist to play within the sacred tunnels. QOTSA, being law-abiding citizens, waited until their vision was sanctioned.

Hélène Furminieux (Les Catacombes de Paris) said:

“The Catacombs of Paris are a fertile ground for the imagination. It is important to us that artists take hold of this universe and offer a sensitive interpretation of it. Going underground and confronting reflections on death can be a deeply intense experience. Josh seems to have felt in his body and soul the full potential of this place. The recordings resonate perfectly with the mystery, history, and a certain introspection, notably perceptible in the subtle use of the silence within the Catacombs.”

Every aesthetic decision, every choice of song, every configuration of instruments… absolutely everything was planned and played with deference to the Catacombs—from the acoustics and ambient sounds — dripping water, echoes and natural resonance — to the darkly atmospheric lighting tones that enhance the music. Far from the sound-insulated confines of the studio or the comfort of onstage monitors, Alive in the Catacombs sees the band not only rise to this challenge, but embrace it.

Homme recalls, “We’re so stripped down because that place is so stripped down, which makes the music so stripped down, which makes the words so stripped down… It would be ridiculous to try to rock there. All those decisions were made by that space. That space dictates everything, it’s in charge. You do what you’re told when you’re in there.”

The result is QOTSA distilled down to their most elemental form—Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore augmented by a three-piece string section, employing chains and chopsticks as makeshift percussion instruments. Alive in the Catacombs is Queens of the Stone Age stripped to their barest essence by necessity (you can’t call it “unplugged” if there are no actual electrical outlets to plug into), McGyver-ing a car battery to power an electric piano. And unfiltered, as every song was recorded live in a complete take with no overdubs or edits.

Words fail to convey the magnificence of Queens of the Stone Age: Alive in the Catacombs. Its truly stunning balance of subtlety and grandeur must be experienced to be appreciated. The beauty is in the struggle (both internal and external). This is Joshua Homme at his most physically vulnerable yet ultimately his most triumphant.

Queens of the Stone Age: Alive in the Catacombs was produced by La Blogothèque and directed by Thomas Rames, and is being released by Queens of the Stone Age and Matador Records. The film will be available to rent or purchase via qotsa.com where pre-orders are currently available. Fans who purchase Alive In the Catacombs by June 7th will receive exclusive access to behind the scenes footage in addition to full streaming and download access. An audio only version will be announced in the coming weeks.

Pry officially began releasing music in 2023 with “Don’t You Want To See.” They recently announced their forthcoming debut album Wrapped in Plastic, with singles “Tether You," “Heaven,” “Greener” and “So Good” leading up to this month’s release. “Tether You” caught the attention of Pitchfork and made its way onto their Pitchfork Selects playlist shortly after its release. Pry has been hard at work on Wrapped in Plastic, creating a body of work that is sonically driven by soft and powerful vocals, hardcore guitar licks, and clean, jangly tones that evoke a nostalgic feel with a distorted and gritty energy.

ABOUT PRY:

After being introduced by a friend in 2023, Amara Bush and Simeon Beardsley hit the ground running. Bush had been learning bass and guitar during the pandemic and had songs written that she was ready to play, while Beardsley had been in DIY bands in New Mexico for nearly 15 years and was eager to start a project in New York. The duo began sharing demos and would meet to rehearse them with only the support of drum loops on their computer. Not long after, they recruited members for a full band and polished enough material for a live set. They have since solidified themselves as a powerful live act in Brooklyn’s vibrant music scene. Pry are easily distinguished by their wall of sound guitars and bass, out front synthesizer, groove-centered but explosive drumming, and catchy vocal melodies, with a tendency for broad dynamic shifts reflecting their variety of influences, which range from 90’s alternative rock and shoegaze to modern indie and pop.

quinnie announces new album 'paper doll' due 7/24 + shares new single

QUINNIE ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM PAPER DOLL

SHARES TITLE TRACK “PAPER DOLL”

PAPER DOLL DUE JULY 24TH

quinnie by Jaxon Whittington

What the press is saying about quinnie:

“The mixture of tentativeness and bold declaration, bedroom-pop intimacy and multitrack craftsmanship.”

The New York Times

“Her lyrics are rich with vivid imagery.”

Pitchfork

“A really promising singer-songwriter”

NPR

“paper doll”

APPLE MUSIC | SPOTIFY

(May 29, 2025) - Singer, songwriter and artist quinnie announces her sophomore album paper doll due out July 24th. Alongside the album announcement, quinnie shares the title track “paper doll.” Across the fifteen tracks of paper doll, quinnie thoughtfully navigates themes of freedom and the isolation of womanhood. paper doll will include the previously shared track “baja bird,” which also arrived with playful and transportive Alejandra Demers-directed visuals. paper doll was recorded, produced and mixed with quinnie’s longtime collaborators Jake Weinberg and Gabe Wax. The album was recorded in Los Angeles at Weinberg's studio and Infinite Family Studios.

Speaking on the new song, quinnie shares, “I wrote ‘paper doll’ about how being idealized by a partner is fun until it isn’t. This song is the title track of my record because it encapsulates the thesis of always feeling too messed up to be loved by somebody else.”

paper doll follows the success of the Los Angeles-based artist’s critically acclaimed 2023 debut album Flounder, which Pitchfork stated "submerges us in baptismal primordial soup” and includes standout track “touch tank.” Since the debut album’s release, quinnie has garnered over 100 million streams, sold out every headline show, and earned praise from publications including Rolling Stone, NPR, and The New York Times.

Hailing from New Jersey, she began releasing home cooked music in high school, attended a year of college, and then dropped out at nineteen to further pursue music in Los Angeles. Through the years, quinnie’s music has undoubtedly grown both in size and quality. However, her handcrafted charm is maintained, making records almost exclusively with her roommate and best friends, and continuing to deeply involve herself in each creative corner of her project. Though on paper, quinnie is a singer-songwriter, she sees herself as an artist first. The never ending journey for an unspecified Why, the ungraspable root of the human condition, the task of turning feelings that words can’t describe into something tangible – this is the greatest undertaking of her work. In the world of quinnie, when moving with the currents of serendipity, the songs will write themselves.

Check out "paper doll" above, see album details below, and stay tuned for more music from quinnie coming soon.

Jeff Parker features on Jeremiah Chiu & Marta Sofia Honer's "Side by Side"

JEREMIAH CHIU & MARTA SOFIA HONER SHARE "SIDE BY SIDE" FT. JEFF PARKER

FROM NEW ALBUM
DIFFERENT ROOMS
OUT JUNE 20 VIA INTERNATIONAL ANTHEM

IMMERSIVE, INTROSPECTIVE SUITE OF MINIMALIST COMPOSITION BLENDS SYNTHS & STRINGS

PERFORMANCES IN NEW YORK, PHILADELPHIA, AND LOS ANGELES

Today, the Los Angeles based duo of modular synthesist Jeremiah Chiu and violist Marta Sofia Honer share “Side by Side” featuring Jeff Parker. It’s the latest offering from their new album Different Rooms, out June 20 via International Anthem. The duo also recently announced three album release performances in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia in July.

Listen to “Side by Side (feat. Jeff Parker)” and preorder Different Rooms here.

On “Side by Side,” a spectrum of deconstructed and looped guitar lines by Jeff Parker form a stirring melodic soundscape that's buoyed by Honer's lush string arrangements. As the tune develops, arpeggios slowly fade from the background to the foreground, revealing Chiu's modular synthesizer as the engine underneath the hood.

Different Rooms finds Chiu and Honer returning to a collaboration that, with the March 2022 release of their critically-lauded duo debut Recordings from the Åland Islands, initiated an epically prolific run for both artists in their own rites. In the wake of performances to support Åland Islands, in 2023 Chiu toured the US opening for M83 and released the solo recording In Electric Time, an album of in-the-moment synth-based compositions captured on analog tape at LA’s Vintage Synthesizer Museum. During that time, Honer was busy doing strings and arrangements for recordings and performances by International Anthem artists Makaya McCraven and Daniel Villarreal; she also contributed viola to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, and various projects with Adrian Younge’s Linear Labs Orchestra, among many others. Chiu and Honer worked together with Ariel Kalma on the three-way collaborative album The Closest Thing to Silence that released in early 2024, just months before the LA trance-jazz supergroup SML, which is co-led by Chiu, released their groundbreaking self-titled debut album. This protracted, two year run of activity and growth for the two musicians crescendoed into a moment of opportunity for them to conceptualize and compose the new duo work that would become Different Rooms.

Different Rooms collects songs and musical motifs composed, edited, and collaged by Chiu and Honer in the weeks between late 2024 and early 2025. Except for pieces composed from improvisations recorded with Jeff Parker and Josh Johnson in 2023 (today's “Side by Side” and upcoming single “Different Rooms,” respectively), most of the ideas were initially developed during live performances on the duo’s fall 2024 EU tour, then fully realized when they returned to their home studios to record, arrange, and shape the music into album form in the beginning of 2025.

About the process, Chiu and Honer say: “This record marks an evolution in our approach to studio production. Our studios are side-by-side. When we were writing this album, you might have found us tracking viola stacks in one studio while, in the other, we were writing through-composed themes and rearranging the material. Granular synthesis and tape manipulation are key tools we use to create variation and movement in a composition. This process often yields surprising results, capturing the emotion but expressing it in unexpected ways. It feels essential that we embrace a bit of chance.”

Contrary to how Åland Islands – with its interwoven field recordings and atmospheric improvisations captured in the hyperreal landscapes of an archipelago in the Baltic Sea – completely transported listeners to another place, with Different Rooms, Chiu and Honer say “we want this music to meet you where you are.” It’s a decidedly urban album; field recordings still have a presence, but they come from scenes on train platforms, city streets, and rooms in their home, painting a quotidian sonic image that blurs the line between what the listener hears in their own environment and what is on the record.

The sonic and temporal abstraction between what is performed in real-time versus what is recorded, manipulated, and collaged is perfectly encapsulated in the album’s title Different Rooms, which literally refers to the fact that the material was recorded in different spaces, while figuratively reminding us that our shared experience of present time is one that is asynchronous, historied, and complex.

Charlotte de Witte Releases "No Division" From Long-Awaited Debut Album (out 11.7) + 6 New York Shows In 4 Day

Charlotte de Witte Releases “No Division”
feat. XSALT (Original Mix) on KNTXT HERE

Her Eponymous Debut Album
To Be Released on November 7th

New York 6 shows in 4 days: photos / videos pls cr “courtesy of Charlotte de Witte” HERE

Today, Charlotte de Witte releases the unrelenting 2nd single “No Division” featuring XSALT (Original Mix), after it was played out during six New York shows in four days, with different DJ sets across venues from small and intimate to big and uncompromising. The vinyl version (including the Original Mix and Instrumental Mix as a B-side) received an early release at the New York shows.

XSALT was previously sampled by de Witte on her tracks “Overdrive”, “High Street”, “Roar” and “How You Move”. Here, he provides her with exclusive vocals for the first time.

Charlotte de Witte just finished playing New York, not your standard big shows, but Six Shows in Four Days - from the most intimate venues Public Records, Superior Ingredients, Knockdown’s The Ruins, 99 Scott to Avant Gardner’s Great Hall and a pop up rave in the rain on the Williamsburg Bridge - announce barely 1 hour beforehand.

For reference, before arriving in New York, she performed in front of approximately 50,000 people at EDC Las Vegas. Immediately after New York, she flew to Detroit’s Movement Festival to headline in front of 30,000 people.

Why the NYC “No Division” connection? Charlotte de Witte says, “Launching this single while I’m in New York feels symbolic. There’s something about the city, its chaos, its diversity, its constant movement, that perfectly mirrors the spirit of “No Division”. It’s a place where differences collide and coexist.”

“The Realm” and “No Division” are singles from Charlotte’s eponymous long-awaited debut album out November 7th on her own imprint KNTXT“”No Division” is another chapter of my upcoming album, and like the others, it reflects a part of who I am. “No Division” is both a call and a celebration. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when we lose ourselves in the music and come together on the same frequency. It reminds us that we are one.”

“No Division”: Brimming with an overwhelming, penetrating techno power, this track demands our full attention, with spacey hoover sounds, piercingly hooky main theme, a classic organ sound and hissy robotic spoken vocal lyrics like ‘…cut the wire / break the system / fight the fire / no division…’ It’s a manifesto you can dance to. Charlotte de Witte has an agenda as well as making a killer track; ‘“No Division” comes from a place of unity and the understanding that when we come together through music, the barriers between us start to dissolve. It’s about erasing the invisible lines that separate us, whether cultural, emotional, or personal.”

Charlotte about “The Realm” and her upcoming debut: “The Realm” is a really special track for me. It marks the beginning of a whole new chapter. It’s the first single from my debut album, and it carries the energy and philosophy that inspired the entire record.

The lyrics capture the essence of what I believe music can do. Techno, and by extension clubbing, has always been about more than just dancing for me. It’s about connection, transcendence and exploration. It’s a way of accessing something unseen, something powerful. There’s a tension and release in the structure that mirrors the feeling of letting go, of stepping into something bigger than yourself.”

“After 15 years of DJing, traveling, and living life through music, releasing my debut album feels surreal. This album is the most personal project I’ve ever worked on. It’s not just a collection of tracks; it’s a reflection of who I am, where I come from, and what continues to drive me: the dancefloor.

Across eleven tracks, this album tells the story of my journey in music so far. Every sound, every transition, is intentional. I followed what felt right, what moved me. And that honesty is what makes this album so special to me. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s emotional. It’s who I am."

Pan American & Kramer today have shared new single "The Double Life of a Seahorse," the latest single from their upcoming LP Interior of an Edifice Under the Sea, out June 27th via Shimmy-Disc. Out now alongside a video directed by Kramer, this piece of ambient cinema is a suited accompaniment for the sweeping, transcendent track.

Interior of an Edifice Under The Sea takes Nelson & Kramer deep under the earth's seas, pulling the listener down beside them as they explore the uncharted currents that fuel the human imagination–fluid, always moving, and always changing. It is an excursion into the lowest depths of ambient music, and a new beginning from the very place where life itself began. The floor of the ocean has a new sound, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. The duo's collaborative powers are nowhere near their peak and this voyage takes them further into the uncharted. Creating a canopy of sound forms inside which they speak the rarified language of world creating.

"The Double Life of a Seahorse" by Pan American & Kramer is out now via Shimmy-Disc.

Ministry Releases First-Ever Music Video For “I’ll Do Anything For You,” The Latest Single From “The Squirrely Years Revisited,” Celebrating Ministry’s Early Synth Pop Years

Yes, that’s what you’ll see in the brand-new, first-time-ever video for Ministry’s oldie but goodie hit, “I’ll Do Anything For You.” See the video helmed by Vicente Cordero and Ben Garcia  HERE  It’s all part of the continuing “when hell freezes over” moments that have been the hallmarks of Ministry’s latest work,  The Squirrely Years Revisited  (out now via Cleopatra Records) that sees Jourgensen making peace with the past by reexamining his long-dormant synth pop hits and giving them a fresh polish 40 years later. And the band is having a helluva fun time doing so. On the ongoing The Squirrely Years Tour, wrapping up June 5, Jourgensen, alongside John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Pepe Clarke Magaña (drums), Paul D’Amour (bass) and two backup Squirrelette singers have been getting rave reviews for the blast from-the-past shows: “Ministry sauntered onto the stage like a sparkly-swirled, aromatic bulldozer to take Brooklyn back to a bastardized time in music when synth-pop bounced over the air like a dazzling gleam of exploding stars” —Metal Insider “In diving back into their sleaziest, funkiest, most absurd incarnation, Ministry gave Chicago a homecoming worth dancing—and twitching—to.” —Metal Planet Music “For once, it feels like Jourgensen is not taking himself too seriously. He’s just having fun with the songs and the crowd. The costumes are silly, the visuals are funny, and the backup dancers are over the top, but it only adds to the celebration. The show was nothing but a good time. … It may just be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You never know if Uncle Al and Ministry will perform these songs again.” —Illinois Entertainer “Ministry’s performance was more than a set — it was a sonic reckoning. From the crushing instrumentation to the blistering visuals, the show felt like a full-frontal confrontation with the chaos of the modern world. The crowd didn’t just watch — they absorbed it, reacted to it, and walked away a little rattled in the best way possible.” —Concert Crap Tickets are still available for the remaining The Squirrely Years Tour dates at  MinistryBand.com.  Featuring 9 tracks (3 additional bonus tracks on CD),  The Squirrely Years Revisited  offers reworked versions of not only “I’ll Do Anything For You,” but also “Work For Love,” “I’m Not An Effigy” and “Everyday Is Halloween” alongside that song’s first-ever music video  The Squirrely Years Revisited  follows the release of Ministry’s 16th studio album in 2024,  HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES,  and comes ahead of the final new studio album from Ministry in 2026, a record that has Jourgensen teaming up with Paul Barker once again.  The Squirrely Years Revisited  is available in all formats including digital, CD and 4 different vinyl configurations. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry’s 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSESwas released March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records. Find Ministry OnlineWebsite: www.ministryband.comFacebook: www.Facebook.com/WeAreMinistryInstagram: www.Instagram.com/WeAreMinistry

Modern Nature has announced their new album The Heat Warps due out August 29 via Bella Union. To accompany the announcement the band have shared lead single Pharaoh, a track influenced by Andrew Weatherall who, before he passed away in 2020, played Modern Nature on his NTS radio show and inspired them with his motto “Fail we may, sail we must”. Commenting on the track Jack Cooper says: "It's a song about the men we're conditioned to respect and follow and it's a song about the people who inspire us to think differently. It's as much about Pharaoh Sanders as it is about the kings and politicians we're meant to believe in. ‘Pharaoh’ makes the case for finding a personal philosophy and trying to live a life that might inspire others or at the very least not hurt them.”

In the time Modern Nature has been a band, the world has undoubtedly changed. Their recent records have reflected an insular life as Jack Cooper – the band’s main creative force – moved out to the countryside in 2021 and had, in his words, been “hibernating” while he started a family. The Heat Warps features the core trio of Jack Cooper (vocals, guitar), Jim Wallis (drums) and Jeff Tobias (bass guitar) augmented by a new guitarist – Tara Cunningham. He felt this new band was a symbol for his reawakening and the perfect vessel for him to continue to explore themes of collectivism, our relationship with the natural world, the weight of consciousness – but with more directness and purpose. The key was the new dual guitar sound.

For all the grimmer realities of 2025 that the new album wrestles with, The Heat Warps is ultimately not a record entirely consumed by anxieties. Jack Cooper explains, “Every day we’re confronted with a confusing and scary world. Making music and creating things can sometimes feel flippant or unnecessary, but my own world view was defined and influenced by art and artists who weren’t afraid to highlight and offer solutions: Public Enemy, The Smiths, and a wider American counterculture.”

“The community we’ve built our life around – artists, musicians and the people who gravitate to these things as a way of communicating – are struggling to reconcile how they fit into an increasingly cruel world. This album, the themes and the lyrics are directed towards them because I think there are still reasons to be optimistic. There are amazing things happening all around us and it’s up to communities like ours to double down on the things we believe in. It feels as if being part of a group like Modern Nature and making an album that’s open, optimistic and ambitious is in itself part of the solution.”
