Ray LaMontagne unveils 20th anniversary remastered vinyl edition of seminal debut album Trouble — Available now

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
Begin it now.” Looking forward to this tour, playing some of my favorite venues in the country, and singing these old songs again.”On the remastered vinyl, LaMontagne shares, “When Trouble was initially released Vinyl was considered a dead format, never to breathe again. Digital audio was the new King. As we know this has proved untrue. Each year more and more music lovers are listening to Vinyl and appreciating it for its depth and breadth of sound, for its physical heft, for its tangible realness. Over the past few months Brian Lee and Bob Jackson at Waygate Mastering have remastered the album for the first time specifically for Vinyl. And I have to say, it sounds incredible. They have managed to bring out subtleties in the vocals, the instrumentation, that were somehow lost previously. It sounds as if a sonic veil has been lifted. I cannot thank them enough.”LaMontagne has spent the past two decades carving a singular space for himself in modern music. In a career that has seen overflowing critical acclaim, he’s opted out of the spotlight and its accompanying celebrity in the remote hills of Western Massachusetts. The New York Times accounts, “Visiting Ray LaMontagne is like going back to another century.” His distinctive voice, described by Rolling Stone as an “impeccably weathered tenor croon,” continues to serve as a conduit for era-defining melodies and songwriting. Across nine studio albums, LaMontagne has let his songs and story speak for themselves, ringing a deep chord in the American subconscious.TRACK LIST

(June 13th, 2025) - Burgeoning folk star Annahstasia releases her debut album Tether via drink sum wtr. A product of years of patience as the core ideas of each song brewed in her lived experience, Tether is a resonant introduction to Annahstasia’s soulful, poetic folk songraft. Along with the album, Annahstasia is also sharing a visualizer by Jessica Garfield for the album’s closing track “Believer”.
Speaking about “Believer”, Annahstasia says “At my core, I’m a rock star without the budget or the fame (yet). Blessed in this life to live relatively anonymously during my youth. It was exceedingly satisfying to make such an anthem. The kind of song some teenager in the midwest plays on repeat for 2 hours straight high off his mind laying on the shag rug, staring at the basement ceiling, dreaming and crying. This song is a whole fantasy for me, it actually came to me fully formed in a dream.
I cherish making records because this song sounds entirely different from how I have been playing it live the last 2 years. Now I have this version that I blast in my headphones and play air guitar and pretend I’m performing it for 100,000 people while the rain gently mists down. The year is 1972 and the internet is barely a thought. My natural hair is out and the cables kinda buzz, I’m at the peak of my career and the sea of people are screaming my name as the band calmly camps before we dig into the hook at which point everyone absolutely loses their mind.”
Annahstasia’s debut includes previously-released singles “Villain”, which was accompanied by a stunning music video conceived by Annahstasia and directed by Adam Davis, “Silk and Velvet” and “Be Kind.” Recorded at the storied Valentine Studios in Los Angeles, the album was made instinctually, done only in live takes to capture the feeling of the room and the community surrounding the music. Peers and like-minded artists including Grammy-nominated poet and artist aja monet and Obongjayar make feature appearances on the album, which features production from Jason Lader (ANOHNI and the Johnsons, Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey), Andrew Lappin (Cassandra Jenkins, L'Rain, Luna Li), and Aaron Liao (Liv.e, Moses Sumney, Raveena).
The album’s release coincides with the midway point of Annahstasia’s North American tour, bringing her enthralling live show across the continent. Last night, she played to a sold out crowd at Brooklyn’s Public Records and the tour will conclude with a hometown show in LA at Pico Union Project on June 28th. Remaining tickets are available now at Annahstasia.com.

Felsmann + Tiley Announce Signing To Mute || Share New Track "Warum"
FELSMANN + TILEY
ANNOUNCE SIGNING TO MUTE

Today German synthesizer & producer duo Felsmann + Tiley have shared new track “Warum,” a spectral highlight that crescendoes into a thrilling, gossamer cascade.
The track, their first for Mute, is rooted in the existential question of “Why?”
In the words of Felsmann + Tiley: “Warum” is the German word for “why.” Asking why questions is the first thing we do as a child and one of the last things we do on our deathbed. Asking why is the motor that drove us to where we got to as a species. At the same time, not asking why often enough or asking the wrong questions seems to be pushing us to the brink of self-extinction. It’s absurd. And it’s beautiful."
Listen to “Warum” HERE and closely read the mysterious embedded manifesto.
Despite their online ubiquity - sparked in part by viral reinterpretations like M83’s “Solitude” and the Irrepressibles’ “The Most Beautiful Boy” - and high-profile syncs on shows including “Young Royals” (season two), BAFTA-winning crime thriller “Top Boy” (season three), and Amazon’s “The Better Sister,” Felsmann + Tiley have lingered largely on the periphery, their origins cloaked in quiet anonymity, until now.
Having met by happenstance in 2003 on a German music production forum, Felsmann + Tiley soon discovered they shared a lot more than their hometown of Stuttgart. “We were attracted to the depth and melancholy of trance pads and breakdowns that always had a certain darkness to them.” Their 12-inch Kamui - Ghosts was the start of a string of highly-energetic club sound releases, reflecting their youth at the time. And then from 2006 onwards, they also started touring and doing DJ gigs around the world.
After a five year creative break, Felsmann + Tiley formed in 2017. “We were having a conversation over the phone and said: Let’s try something new and mix what we like best about electronic, neo-classical and film music, and give ourselves the conceptual constraint of not using drums and percussions and see what happens.” What started off as a pitch deck full of big ideas and even bigger visions would take eight years to grow into an ambitious, all-out artistic vision involving immersive live experiences and a social commentary on the current state of the world.
Looking back on the duo’s body of work, the early signs of major success were there from the start. One of the standout tracks called “October” off their debut album Tempora (2018), a 21st century take on Vivaldi’s cyclical Four Seasons, was featured on the late Andrew Weatherall’s final radio show for NTS Radio and Michel Gaubert’s set for the Swedish fashion house Acne Studios.
By contrast, their follow up EP Weltschmerz , a pitch-perfect post-mortem on clubland during Covid-lockdown, was nothing short of homecoming. “At the time we were knee deep in philosophy and reading a lot on existential nihilism,” the duo explains. “The world went dark so it was easy for us to match this with a few songs. That core melancholy goes all the way back to what brought us together in 2003. It’s in our DNA at the end of the day.”
Having purged the existential dread out of their system, there was more room for the life-affirming cinematic exploration that is front and center on the 2022 EP Retrovision , a record based on cinematic scenes. Another widescreen opus, “Arrival,” found its way onto classical powerhouse Deutsche Grammophon.
Felsmann + Tiley’s passion for putting their own stamp on vocally-driven tracks is evident on the standout moments of their new forthcoming music, of which more information will be shared imminently. The juxtaposition between sentient beings and machines permeates the new works.
“Warum” marks the beginning of a bold new era for Felsmann + Tiley, one that promises to pull them from the shadows and into sharper focus. As they push their sound further into emotionally-charged, genre-defying realms, their forthcoming work stands to not only deepen their intrigue but also define their long-awaited emergence. The quiet anonymity is fading, what comes next is poised for impact.

Watch 'The Last Of England' on YouTube:

The aftermath of addiction, crisis, bankruptcy, recovery and survival shaped The Night Safari , Patrick Wolf’s 2023 return to music after ten years lost to creative impasse and personal upheaval. Now, with seventh studio album Crying The Neck , the 41-year-old has created a confident and hopeful record inspired by the transfiguring power of grief at the death of his mother, rehabilitation, local folklore and the East Kentish landscape.
Crying The Neck , his first new album in thirteen years and the first in a planned four album series, was written and recorded in the Kent coastal town of Ramsgate that Wolf now calls home. Here, he has a peaceful studio in the garden, the place in which he was able to find his voice again. In a period of rebuilding, Crying The Neck was entirely written, composed, produced and arranged by Wolf himself, with Brendan Cox brought in as co-producer and engineer in the last three years to help finish an album a decade in the making.
The complexity of nationhood, personhood and grief that Crying The Neck embraces is summed up by the appearance on the album of a the recording of the writer Vita Sackville-West reading the line “faith, doubt, perplexity, grief, hope, despair”, from her poem ‘The Land’. “The quote is important because it’s acceptance and acknowledgement,” says Wolf. Crying The Neck finishes on the Foreland peninsula, looking out over the North Sea, reflecting on the transience of life, but also progress. “I wanted a song of experience at the end, a preparation for a shift into a more urgent mortality,” Patrick Wolf explains. “I do feel like I have a certain amount of time left, to do the work that I want to do, and a certain amount of time left to not do the work as well, and to live.”
Additionally, Wolf has announced a number of solo, acoustic instore appearances to celebrate the album’s release including a Rough Trade East performance on June 19 as well as a return to North America and Canada for the first time in over a decade. All dates are listed below:

2000S EUPHORIC EURODANCE TRACK
"END OF THE NIGHT"

Today, Los Angeles, CA-based indie electronic artist Baby Jane shares ethereal, boundary-breaking debut album, A Grave Marked Strange, out now alongside the long-awaited early 2000s-style rave track "End of the Night." Releasing aptly today on Friday the 13th, the project blends hardstyle, jumpstyle, witch house, hard bounce, and techno into something cinematic, theatrical, and unafraid to break form.
Each track on A Grave Marked Strange, co-produced by Baby Jane and War Tourism, draws from classic horror themes—but with a campy, self-aware twist. Over 16 tracks, the tone is dramatic and stylized, but rooted in real vulnerability. Beneath the distortion and percussive intensity are sticky melodies, sharp hooks, and emotional undercurrents. The project features a collaborative verse from Damazein and additional guitar work by Matthew Michna on the ballad “Sistine.”
Baby Jane shares, "I wrote 'A Grave Marked Strange' about the feelings of such intensity that walk the line between life and death. It is the place where you meet your lover in pure bliss or agony outside the realms of convention and mundane life. At her core, Baby Jane is the protagonist I play in my fantasies; macabre and hopeless in nature, but holding out for reality to give her a reason to not to slip into the other side."
"End of the Night" which has already gained heavy traction on TikTok officially arrives today. The euphoric dance track delivers punchy, nostalgic Eurodance and hardstyle energy. With hard bounce influences and a hook built to last, it taps into the pulse of the early 2000s rave sound reimagined for today.
Calling back to her Eastern European roots, Baby Jane says, "'End of the Night' is my attempt at reviving the care-free nostalgia of 2000s eurodance. Inspired by early memories of driving around with my mom listening to Russia’s hit dance station 'Evropa Plus,' the synths and hardstyle kick are meant to feel like dancing all night in a Lithuanian disco thrown in a storage unit. Thematically, the song tells a story of the internal war of good and evil that occurs when you succumb to temptation, the fallout, and the plea for forgiveness."
Born to Soviet immigrants, Baby Jane left school at 14 to pursue songwriting full time and later studied music production. Influenced by the melancholic pop of her early childhood, Baby Jane draws from her Eastern European roots while carving a resonant, distinct space of her own through textural, cinematic soundscapes. She later began work as a DJ in the LA underground techno scene, leading to the development of her own gothic house sound. Earlier this year, Baby Jane honed her artistic vision through a string of singles and now reaches nearly a million monthly Spotify listeners. With the release of her debut album, written, recorded and engineered herself, a steadily growing online presence and fervent fan base known as The Coven, Baby Jane is proving herself as one to watch in the genre-defying, experimental electronic space.
Entirely new and entirely Baby Jane, the artist has finally, officially arrived with her visceral debut album A Grave Marked Strange out everywhere now. Keep up with the artist on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for more.

ABOUT BABY JANE
Baby Jane is an independent electronic artist from Los Angeles blending witch house, hardstyle, and ethereal pop into a sound that’s uniquely her own. Born to Soviet immigrants, she left high school at 14 to pursue songwriting full-time and later attended school to study music production, deepening her ability to shape her own sound. Inspired early on by the melancholic pop music of 1980s Russia, she draws from both her heritage and personal experience to create emotionally resonant, genre-defying work.
Growing up with a strong lisp, she kept her singing private for years, gradually developing a raw and emotional vocal style. Her music began to gain attention online, especially through TikTok and Spotify, where she now reaches nearly a million monthly listeners. In an effort for her grandparents to understand her songwriting, she occasionally includes verses in Russian, adding another layer of intimacy and cultural texture to her work. Her fanbase, known as The Coven, has grown steadily through her consistent online presence, distinctive sound, and unique lore.
At the center of Baby Jane’s world is a self-created mythology called Terem, which includes three archetypes — The Cowboy, The Warrior, and The Goddess. Fans group themselves by an online quiz as part of their initiation into the Coven. This framework helps shape her music, visuals, and the way listeners connect with her project. Some have even gotten tattoos of the Terem symbol.
After nearly stepping away from music entirely, she began writing again during the isolation of the pandemic. That period, followed by her work as a DJ in LA’s underground techno scene led to the development of her “gothic house” sound — a mix of distorted textures, cinematic visuals, and emotional storytelling.
In 2025, she released a string of singles including “Cemetery Date,” “Reincarnate,” “Psychotrance,” and “Eternal Embrace,” leading up to her debut full-length album, A Grave Marked Strange, out June 13.

ABOUT ELLIOT MOSS:
Elliot Moss, an inveterate musician raised in the recording studio, has devoted much of his life to dreaming up sonic worlds with a strangely transportive power. With the 10th anniversary release of Highspeeds, he reflects on the record's impact on his career. His soulful vocals and embrace of electronic, jazz, and ambient sounds have resonated with fans, establishing Elliot as one of the most innovative indie-electronic artists of the past decade.
Highspeeds helped propel Elliot to stardom as a critical darling, winning media praise from Billboard, Stereogum, The FADER, SPIN, and more. He’s toured and performed around the world alongside artists like Cold War Kids, Chicano Batman, Oh Wonder, Editors, and others, appearing at notable festivals like SXSW, Corona Capitol, Reeperbahn, and more.
Since his first viral success at eighteen with “Slip,” Elliot’s music has amassed over 350M streams worldwide. When famed American dancer Phillip Chbeeb used “Slip” in his captivating, choreographed dance, it cemented Elliot as a go-to artist for the dance community. His music continues to have a lasting impact on the dance world to this day.

Los Angeles by way of New Jersey punks Ho99o9 (horror) have announced their third album, Tomorrow We Escape, out September 9th. A true amalgamation of all the band’s influences— experimental hip-hop, digital hardcore, future-facing punk, metal, jarring industrial, and off-kilter electronics—the album is their most emotional offering to date, rooted in personal struggle and triumph. “When we started this process, we knew we wanted to make more relatable songs,” says theOGM. “It was a healthy challenge to focus on emotion. In the past, a lot of our material was politically charged. That element is present to a degree, but we wanted to take a more personal route. This mindset drove how we wrote songs. Everybody has a struggle. The goal is to find motivation for preservation.”
Today, the band shares the album’s lead single, “Upside Down,” a neck-snapping blend of warped guitars, woozy melodies, and driving bass-lines. The track arrives alongside a dystopian video set in a world where the Chinese Yuan is world currency and water has become a black market commodity. Watch that here.
Ho99o9 will be performing on the Vans Warped Tour at the Long Beach stop (July 26 & 27) and have also announced an Australian tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan this August. Click HERE for more details.
The New Jersey-bred outfit made its way to Los Angeles over a decade ago. Surging and seething just below the surface, the pair broke through as an apocalyptically fascinating outlier with their 2017 full-length debut, United States of Horror. In the meantime, their infamous live shows became the stuff of legend as they packed houses on their own and shared stages with everyone from Slipknot, Korn, Alice In Chains, Rob Zombie, Ministry, and The Dillinger Escape Plan to Lil Uzi Vert, Denzel Curry, Cypress Hill, and Ghostface Killah. Earning the respect of an elite cohort of peers, popular collaborations placed them toe-to-toe with Corey Taylor of Slipknot, The Prodigy, JPEGMAFIA, Ghostemane, HEALTH, 3TEETH, and N8NOFACE, to name a few. Jack Black made an appearance in their KULT CABLE series while they guested on The Eric Andre Show. They've received further acclaim from The New York Times, NME, The Guardian, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, The FADER, Revolver, and more. They stand out as the rare phenomenon who can decimate Hellfest and Aftershock Festival and captivate on A COLORS SHOW.
