Rolling Stone

Cuco is on top and shows no signs of slowing down”

Galore Magazine cover

(Aug 29, 2025) - Multi-platinum artist Cuco unveils "Sin Un Corazón," the lead single from the deluxe edition of his critically acclaimed album Ridin', set for release September 12 via Interscope Records. The heartfelt Spanish-language ballad arrives alongside the announcement of his most ambitious headline tour to date, that finds him celebrating the start of Hispanic Heritage Month with a September 15 performance at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre—the eve of Mexican Independence Day.

The 35-date Ridin' tour represents Cuco's largest headline run, spanning major markets from the West Coast through the Midwest and East Coast, before extending internationally to Mexico City's Foro Puebla (November 27) and European capitals including Madrid, London, and Paris in February 2026. The U.S. leg of the tour culminates with a Halloween performance at New York's historic Kings Theatre.

"Sin Un Corazón" exemplifies Cuco's artistic evolution, featuring his signature ethereal vocals delivered entirely in Spanish over a cinematic arrangement that honors traditional Boleros and Romanticas while pushing the genre forward. The track builds upon the sonic foundation established in Ridin'.

The original Ridin' album has already generated significant cultural moments this summer, including Cuco's performance of the national anthem at Dodger Stadium and appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he performed standout tracks "My 45" and "Para Ti." The deluxe edition expands this artistic statement with additional tracks that further explore themes of heritage, heartbreak, and personal history.

Tickets for all North American dates are available now, with Mexico City tickets going on sale today.

TWO-TIME GRAMMY® AWARD WINNING GLOBAL SUPERSTAR SABRINA CARPENTER

RELEASES NEW ALBUM

MAN’S BEST FRIEND

LISTEN HERE

(August 29, 2025) - Today, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning record-breaking global superstar Sabrina Carpenter releases her highly anticipated new album, Man’s Best Friend - listen here. In tandem with the album, Sabrina also unveils the official video for “Tears” - watch here. Directed by Bardia Zeinali, Colman Domingo stars in the music video alongside Sabrina.

Written by Sabrina and her frequent collaborators Amy Allen, Jack Antonoff & John Ryan, and also co-produced by Sabrina, Jack and John, Sabrina’s signature witty lyricism is on full display as she blends addictive pop melodies with clever and bold storytelling that makes every track feel like a newfound secret. Man’s Best Friend features 12 tracks, including the album’s certified platinum lead single, “Manchild,” which debuted directly at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Manchild” marked Sabrina’s second chart-topper, following last summer’s hit “Please Please Please,” and Island Records’ first No. 1 debut. The Hollywood Reporter raved, “The “Espresso” singer is back to take her summer song crown for the second year in a row with her infectiously catchy new single.” Since its release, the song’s critically acclaimed music video has amassed nearly 60 million views. “Carpenter radiates in feel-good disco energy” wrote Rolling Stone. Now, Sabrina closes out the summer with a pop album that is sure to be on repeat well into the new year.

Man’s Best Friend is Sabrina’s seventh studio album and follows her monumental album, Short n’ Sweet. Released last August, Short n’ Sweet topped the charts worldwide and had one of the biggest global debuts of 2024. All three singles off the album, "Espresso" (2.4 billion), "Please Please Please" (1.5 billion), and "Taste" (1.1 billion) entered the coveted Billions Club on Spotify. Short n’ Sweet sold 10 million albums globally.

Short n’ Sweet garnered Sabrina six GRAMMY® nods as a first-time GRAMMY® nominee and won two awards for her GRAMMY® debut. Sabrina took home the “Best Pop Vocal Album” award for Short n’ Sweet along with “Best Pop Solo Performance” for the album’s lead single, “Espresso.” Following the GRAMMYs, Sabrina released Short n’ Sweet (Deluxe), which featured five additional songs, including a duet with global icon Dolly Parton on “Please Please Please” and “Busy Woman,” which Sabrina debuted live on her sold-out headlining arena tour.

Internationally, Sabrina shattered records by becoming the first female artist to hold the top three spots on the UK Singles Chart simultaneously with “Taste,” “Please Please Please,” and “Espresso.” She also set a new benchmark for most weeks at #1 in a single year by a female artist on the UK chart—totaling 21 weeks—and became the first international artist to receive the BRITs’ Global Success award. This past July, Sabrina headlined BST Hyde Park, where she performed “Manchild” live for the first time and brought out Duran Duran for a surprise rendition of “Hungry Like The Wolf.”

Next week, Sabrina will be making her highly anticipated return to the VMA stage. As a 14x nominee, she is up for eight awards this year including the night's biggest award for Video of the Year for "Manchild” as well as Best Pop Artist, Best Album, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Visual Effects. Earlier this month, Sabrina returned to Lollapalooza as a headliner, drawing one of the largest crowds of the festival.

This fall, Sabrina will embark on the second sold-out North American leg of her highly praised Short n’ Sweet Tour. The tour kicks off on October 23rd in Pittsburgh and will stop at major arenas in New York, Nashville, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Sabrina will perform five nights at Madison Square Garden in New York and six nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, concluding on November 23rd. This second leg follows the massive success of the previous 33-date sold-out North American tour last November, as well as the sold-out European leg, which saw additional shows added in four cities due to overwhelming demand.

Carín León and Kacey Musgraves unveil crossover duet "Lost in Translation"

 CARÍN LEÓN AND KACEY MUSGRAVES
UNVEIL CROSSOVER DUET
“LOST IN TRANSLATION”

single artAugust 29, 2025—Carín León and Kacey Musgraves are coming together for their new genre-blending duet “Lost in Translation.” Listen/share HERE.The song tells a story of desire and connection between two people navigating a language barrier. “This really cute idea came about these people meeting and not being able to speak the same language, but love language and body language is universal and you don’t really need words for that,” says Musgraves.Musgraves first discovered León through his NPR Tiny Desk performance and was immediately impressed. Born and raised in Texas, she’s long held a deep curiosity and respect for Mexican music and culture. “Growing up singing traditional country and western music,” Musgraves notes, “I’ve always loved exploring the borders of Country and where it blends with other styles like Norteño and some regional Mexican sounds that I heard a lot of in Texas.”León, widely known for blending traditional regional Mexican music with modern storytelling, was exploring ways to make his sound resonate with U.S. country fans. After listening to some of Musgraves’ music, her genre-fluid style resonated deeply with him. “I relate my career and hers in the way that she approaches other genres,” León says.Having admired each other’s work from afar, the two met for the first time in Nashville. Musgraves brought along fellow songwriters Amy Allen and longtime collaborator Shane McAnally. To warm up, León and Musgraves sang the famed Juan Gabriel and Rocío Dúrcal duet “Fue un Placer Conocerte.” “It was a big surprise for me that it was one of my favorite songs…and she knew all the words,” León says. “I learned it years ago and it’s just stuck in my mind since then,” Musgraves adds. “I love it. It’s iconic.”That shared moment sparked the writing of their own duet. Produced by Julian Bunetta, “Lost in Translation” features vibrant horns and rhythmic backing from León’s band, paired with León and Musgraves’ vocals playing off of one another. The result is a nostalgic, genre-blending track that nods to classic Mexican duets while offering something entirely new.“Even though we speak different languages, we’re all the same, you know?” Musgraves says. León adds, “I’m so blessed to be working with Kacey. All good stuff is going to come.”
ABOUT KACEY MUSGRAVESKacey Musgraves, an eight-time Grammy Award winner, released her fifth studio album Deeper Well in March, 2024.  Deeper Well marks her biggest debut sales week landing at #1 on the Top Album Sales and her fifth #1 debut on the Top Country Albums chart.  She launched the Deeper Well World Tour with sold-out shows around the globe and the album’s single, “The Architect,” won the award for Best Country Song at the Grammys.  Beyond music, Musgraves collaborated with Boy Smells on a second candle, designed a sustainable fashion line with Reformation, and created a Deeper Wellness smoothie with Erewhon to benefit LA wildfire relief.Deeper Well followed Kacey’s acclaimed 2021 album star-crossed and multiple Grammy-winning Golden Hour (2018). In 2023 Musgraves achieved her first Hot100 #1 for “I Remember Everything,” a duet with Zach Bryan. The song is the first country music duet in 40 years since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream” (1983) to reach this feat. “I Remember Everything” won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song by a Duo or Group in February, 2024. With this win, Musgraves became the only artist ever to receive a Grammy Award for Best Country Album, Best Country Song, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Duo or Group Performance. Musgraves has been recognized and honored by Time Magazine as one of their ‘Women of the Year,’ GLAAD’s Media Awards as their prestigious Vanguard Award recipient, Billboard’s “Women In Music,” Variety’s “Power of Women,” and the Country Music Hall of Fame hosted a comprehensive exhibit of the artist’s life titled Kacey Musgraves: All of the Colors.

Friday, August 29 (London, UK) — Today, legendary musician Thurston Moore released a special cover of The Velvet Underground’s "Temptation Inside Your Heartin celebration of Sterling Morrison’s birthday.

Featuring Deb Googe, James Sedwards, and Jem Doulton, Moore’s take onTemptation Inside Your Heart” channels The Velvet Underground’s wry cool while pushing it into his own territory, with layers of electro-clatter and distortionThe release drops just ahead of Thurston Moore Group’s September 13 show at London’s Oslo Hackney, with support from Black feminist punk band Big Joanie.

“Temptation Inside Your Heart”:  Listen   Watch

This follows Moore’s latest critically acclaimed album Flow Critical Lucidity, released last fall on The Daydream Library Series record label. Deemed “the best record Moore has been involved in since Sonic Youth’s The Eternal" by Grayson Haver Currin for MOJO and “an album that encapsulates his signature guitar-driven charm and dives deep into his experimental roots” by GRAMMY.com, the project’s title comes from a lyric in previously released single Sans Limites featuring vocals by Lætitia Sadier of Stereolab.

The album also features bass player Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine, Jon Leidecker, James Sedwards, Jem Doulton and lyrics by Radieux Radio. The album cover art is Jamie Nares’ ‘Samurai Walkman’ — a helmet befitted with tuning forks. Born in Great Britain, Nares is a lifelong friend of Moore from his New York No Wave days recounted in Sonic Life, the two often collaborating in art & music.

Fans of Sonic Youth & Thurston Moore will be delighted that all tracks from the album are available via streaming platforms with a selection of bonus songs exclusive to the physical release on vinyl, compact disc & cassette. Past singles from the album include the cerebral Hypnogram,” stirring Earth Day anthem Rewilding,” the captivating yet tragic The Diver,” as well as bonus track on flexi of the LP edition, Isadora” with a music video starring Sky Ferreira.

About Thurston Moore:

Thurston Moore moved to New York at eighteen in 1976 to play punk. He started Sonic Youth in 1980. Since then Thurston Moore has been at the forefront of the alternative rock scene since that particular sobriquet was first used to signify any music that challenged and defied the mainstream standard. With Sonic Youth, Moore turned on an entire generation to the value of experimentation in rock n roll – from its inspiration on a nascent Nirvana, to Sonic Youth’s own Daydream Nation album being chosen by the US Library of Congress for historical preservation in the National Recording Registry. Thurston records and performs in a cavalcade of disciplines ranging from free improvisation to acoustic composition to black/white metal/noise disruption. He has worked with Phill Niblock, John Paul Jones, Yoko Ono, John Zorn, Bobby Gillespie, David Toop, Cecil Taylor, Faust, Glenn Branca and many others. His residency at the Louvre in Paris included collaborations with Irmin Schmidt of CAN. Alongside his various activities in the musical world, he is involved with publishing and poetry, and teaches with his partner Eva at The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, Boulder CO, a programme founded by Allen Ginsberg and Anne Waldman in 1974. Thurston also teaches music at The Rhythmic Music Conservatory (Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium) in Copenhagen.

About The Daydream Library Series:

The Daydream Library Series independent record label has just celebrated seven years in operation! Thurston & Eva founded the label in 2018. They have released music by London feminist punk band Big Joanie, electronic musician Xopher Davidson, Caribbean jazz shoegaze quartet Seafoam Walls, the debut EP from Devon Ross, the debut album by Schande, a sound-healing recording by Katherina Bornefeld, and a 7-inch by Miami’s bilingual beauties Las Nubes.

30th Anniversary Re-Recording of Debut LP Ham Fisted

U.S. Fall Tour With Everclear and Sponge

Physical Pre-Orders Start Today via Brutal Panda/G&P Records

LISTEN/PRE-ORDER: LOCAL H - ReFISTED

Today, LOCAL H have digitally released their new LP ReFISTED via G&P Records/SoundOn–the album is a brand new, surprise re-recording of their debut LP Ham Fisted, which was released 30 years ago via Island Records. The new LP was recorded by Greg Norman (Russian Circles, Neurosis, Kim Deal, Andrew Bird) at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio, and features guests such as Deanna Belos (Sincere Engineer). ReFISTED is also now available for vinyl/cassette/CD pre-orders via Brutal Panda/G&P Records. Next week, Local H will embark on a full U.S. tour supporting Everclear and Sponge, including dates at The Regent (LA, 9/4), Irving Plaza (NYC, 10/22), and more. Tickets and more information for Local H upcoming tour can be found HERE.

Here's what guitarist/vocalist Scott Lucas has to say about the album:

"Not so much a reimagining — more like a do-over. Like retaking a test that you didn’t exactly ace the first time around. It seemed like a fun, easy idea — can you take songs that you wrote and recorded 30 years ago and breathe new life into them? Or give them a new spin? Are you a better songwriter than you were 30 years ago? A better musician? A better singer? Turned out to be one of the hardest records I ever made. It was like getting into a fistfight with myself at 24. I think I got a few licks in, but I walked out of there pretty beat up.

We’ve recorded parts of albums at Electrical Audio before, but this time I wanted the entire process —all the recording and mixing— to be done at Electrical. I wanted to sort of recast HAM FISTED as a Touch & Go record from the early ‘90s. Though they still probably wouldn’t have signed us.

We treated the original record as a demo. Sometimes that meant radically reworking and rearranging the song. And sometimes that just meant trying to record a meaner, heavier version of the original. And they were already pretty fucking mean and heavy to begin with. By the time I got done with vocals, my right arm was completely numb. I honestly think I had a stroke.

I also wanted this to be a family affair. I brought in multiple people that I’ve been playing with over the years. To represent the entire history of the band. So there’s Eric Oblander from Five Horse Johnson and Clutch reprising his harmonica performance from 2004’s WHATEVER HAPPENED TO P.J. SOLES? And then we’ve got horns on the song 'Strict 9' courtesy of Poi Dog Pondering’s Max Crawford — whom I’ve worked with before in my solo band Scott Lucas & The Married Men. And although I didn’t get every drummer I’ve ever played with to appear on this thing, I at least got three of them (including Ryan Harding and new guy Ronnie DiCola from The Arrivals). And sometimes we had multiple drummers playing together on the same song. Which is all cool, but since it’s a re-recording of a record I made in my early twenties, I felt like the record needed some new, younger blood. Like a vampire. I didn’t want it to just be lifers making reappearances like the ghosts of records past — so I brought in people from new bands that I dig. Like the dudes from Tuff Sudz and Deanna from Sincere Engineer — who knocked it out of the park on 'Skid Marks’.”

Ham Fisted, Local H's uncompromising full-length debut for Island Records in 1995, took the band from hometown heroes to national alt-rock mainstays and paved the way for their 1996 commercial breakthrough As Good As Dead, as well as 1998’s critically acclaimed masterpiece Pack Up The Cats. Featuring coulda-been singles like “Cynic” and "Mayonnaise And Malaise", Ham Fisted remains a fan favorite 30 years on — and is consistently featured in their legendary live shows.

ReFISTED by Local H is out today via G&P Records/SoundOn.

No Backstage at Maxwell’s

No Backstage at Maxwell’s

New Documentary Seeks Fan Photos and Footage to Help Tell the Story of Legendary Indie Venue That Shaped American Music

Watch the trailer HERE

No Backstage at Maxwell’s is an electrifying new feature documentary that dives deep into the history of Maxwell’s, the unassuming Hoboken bar that became one of the most influential indie rock venues in America. Hosting everyone from REM, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, and Yo La Tengo to The Replacements and Hüsker Dü, Maxwell’s was opened by Steve Fallon and later owned and operated by Todd Abramson. This tight, sweaty, no-frills club served as a launchpad for post-punk, college rock, and the burgeoning alternative scene— and countless underground legends.

The production is actively seeking fan photos and video footage from fans, former patrons, and bands who played Maxwell’s across its storied run. Any and all submissions are welcome – nothing is considered too raw or unprofessional – it’s all part of history.

Directed by Paul Rachman (American Hardcore), and produced by former music industry executive Claudia Sullivan, a long-time fan and patron, the film brings the spirit of Maxwell’s to life through rare archival footage, vivid photography, and intimate interviews with the owners, musicians, bartenders, and die-hard fans who made it a cultural touchstone. It’s a gritty, passionate love letter to the DIY ethos and the power of small venues to incubate big movements.

“Maxwell’s wasn’t just a club—it was a community. It was a proving ground,” said Rachman. “It was where music scenes collided, friendships were forged, and bands found both their audience and their soul” Producer Sullivan added, “Your memories could help preserve the legacy of this legendary space for generations to come. We’re asking for help from those who lived it.”

For music lovers, punk/indie/alternative rock historians, and documentary fans alike, No Backstage at Maxwell’s is a thrilling and heartfelt chronicle of a time and place that played an irreplaceable role in shaping the sound of independent America.

TEI SHI UNVEILS NEW ALBUM 'MAKE BELIEVE I MAKE BELIEVE' AND VIDEO; ANNOUNCES UK/EU TOUR

TEI SHI RELEASES NEW ALBUM

MAKE BELIEVE I MAKE BELIEVE
WITH FOCUS TRACK MUSIC VIDEO “MONTÓN

ANNOUNCES UK/EUROPEAN TOUR;

TICKETS HERE

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT MONTH; TICKETS HERE

Today, Canadian-Colombian singer-songwriter and pop auteur Tei Shi releases her fourth album Make believe I make believe, released independently via Tei Shi LLC / The Orchard. Alongside the release is the bilingual focus track and video “Montón”, an enchanting ode to the sweetness of lust and surrendering to love. The shimmering visual, directed by Mexican director Joaquin Castillo and brought to life with a team of Latinx creatives, pays homage to Tei Shi’s own roots while beautifully capturing the yearning for connection, touch, and desire amidst the glow of the dancefloor.

Tei Shi shares, “‘Montón’ is a song about falling for someone, crushing hard and giving into it. It’s about that moment when you let go of physical boundaries and space, and you give into the sweetness of being in love. I picture it as a late night with your bb, up all night just the two of you in your room, dancing together and tuning out the world.”

Written and recorded during a creative retreat on Vancouver Island with longtime collaborators Noah Beresin and Tommy English, Make believe I make believe is Tei Shi’s most liberated work to date: vulnerable, self-assured, and completely unbound by genre. Seamlessly weaving English and Spanish, the album draws from dream-pop, dembow, acoustic folk, shoegaze, left-field electronics, and tropical influences, all filtered through her unique perspective. Tei Shi wrote, co-produced and A&Red the project while co-directing the visual world around it. The album is proof that Tei Shi is an artist who thrives with the independence and creative freedom she has reclaimed for herself.

Make believe I make believe expands on the personal and artistic lens of her last project Valerie, shifting from reclamation to clear-eyed, fully owned, and emotionally present. Spanning 10 tracks, it includes standout singles like the defiant “Drop Dead,” the introspective “Best Be Leaving,” and the perreo-inducing “222” (feat. Loyal Lobos), each tracing her ongoing evolution. Make believe I make believe opens a new chapter: tender, playful and quietly undeniable–while reaffirming Tei Shi’s roots and her multicultural identity in the process.

“‘Make believe I make believe’ was created during a one-week retreat on Vancouver Island last fall with Noah Beresin and Tommy English. Thanks to a grant from the British Columbia government, I was able to rent a studio with accommodation in the middle of the woods, giving us the rare chance to write and record non-stop.” She adds, “Being back home, reconnecting with family and old friends, and working without any outside voices or pressure – no label, manager, or restrictions – allowed me to fully dive into my mind and emotions. The result is a really versatile collection that captures a wide range of feelings and touches on sonics from Canadiana to neo-perreo.”

Next month, Tei Shi will bring Make believe I make believe to the stage on her headline tour. The 12-city trek kicks off in Los Angeles on September 26th, with stops in Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Toronto, Mexico City, Vancouver, San Francisco, and more before wrapping in Portland on November 23rd.

Alongside today’s release, Tei Shi has also announced a UK and European tour for early 2026, marking her long-awaited return to international stages. The 10-date run begins 18 February in London and makes stops in Manchester, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, and more before it concludes in Barcelona on 2 March. For full dates and ticket info, visit https://teishi.world/.

Known for channeling expansive creativity into a sound entirely her own, Tei Shi blends grounded vulnerability into genre-fluid soundscapes with vivid storytelling and bilingual lyricism, cementing her place as one of today’s most compelling artists.

Today Fever Ray (aka Karin Dreijer) has shared a spectral, propulsive reimagining of “I’m Not Done” from Amsterdam’s renowned, genre-bending DJ and producer Young Marco.

Listen to “I’m Not Done (Young Marco’s Therapy Flip)” HERE.
Young Marco stands as a true sonic innovator, his illustrious achievements rooted in a deep exploration of club music in all its forms. Among them are two studio albums, multiple EPS and compilations, remix collaborations with the likes of Robyn, Marie Davidson, Metronomy and more. He is a champion of burgeoning artists through the groundbreaking electronic label he founded, Safe Trip Records, a member of ambient trio Gaussian Curve and has toured the world, defying expectations with every new creative endeavor.

The remix arrives following the release last month of The Year Of The Radical Romantics, which is out now digitally via Mute.

There is additionally an accompanying  The Year Of The Radical Romantics  publication, 1000 copies exclusively printed, available for pre-order. The publication will not be reprinted once sold-out.

The Year Of The Radical Romantics is a document of the juicy, throbbing missives used to woo crowds from Sydney to Seattle on the globe-trotting There’s No Place I’d Rather Be Tour in support of 2023’s lauded  Radical Romantics . The new album consists of live-to-tape studio versions of tracks from Radical Romantics in addition to highlights from 2017’s Plunge and massive new iterations of early classics performed by the musicians who accompanied Dreijer on tour — Minna Koivisto on keyboards; Romarna Campbell on drums; Maryam Nikandish and Helena Gutarra on keytars and vocals.
Radical Romantics’ riotous, world-building videos introduced an unforgettable cast of characters. Accompanying Fever Ray (aka the white-suited Casanova) are wannabe-womanizer Romance, clockwatcher Main, witchy Snusis, and axe-wielding bombshell Demona LisaThe Year of Radical Romantics offers a culmination of these character’s arcs with a pair of videos directed by longtime longtime Fever Ray creative visionary Martin Falck. The visuals find the misfits navigating group therapy sessions led by therapist Ebba. These sessions are soundtracked by blistering versions of fan favourites from Fever Ray’s beloved self-titled 2009 debut album: “I’m Not Done (Therapy Session” and “Now’s the Only Time I Know (Therapy Session).”

The Year Of The Radical Romantics publication is available to pre-order. The publication, designed and edited by Fever Ray and Falck, dives deeper into the creative process behind the making of the Radical Romantics universe. The publication showcases initial sketches and the trials and errors that shaped the characters seen on stage, in photographs, and music videos. It also features press photography, cover shoots, editorials, and exclusive behind-the-scenes imagery captured by Fever Ray, the live band, and photographer Nina Andersson.

Falck says of the publication: “Creating the characters for the Radical Romantics era has been a true labor of love. Bringing them to life, watching them experience love, heartbreak, death, and even getting fired, has been an absolute joy. Working on this publication has given us a chance to reflect on our own creative process, and we’re so excited to share it with you.”

NEW SONGS TODAY

Lucky Horse Red album artwork by Noelia Towers

Today, Los Angeles intersectional, genre-bending project Lucky Horse Red announces their debut, self-titled album will be released on September 26 via Shuga Records. Today’s news is heralded with the new double single release of “Noon Moon” and “Whiskey.”

“Noon Moon” is a song that swims in humid baths of juxtaposition, the lyrics are unbridled, flowing prose reeling up against the sliding warmth of steel guitar. Singer Bunny Gaubert describes today's single as, “A swampy summer tune. We wanted to create a catchy chorus with group vocals à la Courtney Barnett or Kurt Vile” — Stream

And on the other side, “Whiskey” is a tameless country-rock song about coming back to an old lover because you can’t get the same love anywhere else. Gaubert sings, “I heard you nicknamed me whiskey” as she accuses an old flame of needing her trouble — Stream

The Los Angeles 6-piece band is fronted by the endearingly enigmatic Bunny Gaubert, who was previously shot for Playboy. Her voice feels both far away and like something echoing inside of you; simultaneously drunk and stone-cold sober as her writing freely flows like anarchic poetry.

A patchwork of LA DIY royalty, the band is rounded out by Keilah Nina; the former bassist of cult-followed band The Aquadolls, Mark Martino of Babe Ruthless on guitar, multi-instrumentalist and husband Laine Gaubert, steel player Colin Croom of Twin Peaks and MJ Lenderman’s touring band, punk guitarist Jake Melendez of Thee Azmatics, and drummer Mika Rabina who is also the leading lady of Siam Jem.

Lucky Horse Red blends psych, rock ‘n’ roll, indie, Americana roots, folk, jazz and punk. It’s sexy and fast and slow. It is mysterious and vulnerable. It is a cinematic universe with an authentic 1960s analog sound projected within the female gaze. A dark, folky trip out West, the album was recorded at Joshua Tree Recording Studio and clocks in at a lucky 13 tracks that hazily yearn for both excess and innocence — Pre-save the album.

Last month, the band played at LA’s Family Affair Folk Fest alongside Mirrorball, The Kept Men and more. Over the coming months, fans can keep an eye out for new shows to be announced.

Ann Wilson Announce Feature Length Documentary Film "IN MY VOICE," Directed By Barbara Hall

ANN WILSON ANNOUNCES DOCUMENTARY
“IN MY VOICE”

DIRECTED BY BARBARA HALL

WATCH TEASER HERE

Rock icon Ann Wilson, singer-songwriter and founder of Heart, will unveil her remarkable life story in the forthcoming feature documentary “IN MY VOICE”. Told in Ann’s own words, the film traces her extraordinary 75-year journey, from a nomadic childhood to the stages of the world’s biggest arenas, and into a bold new creative chapter. With additional commentary from family, friends, artists, bandmates, and industry executives, the documentary focuses on the authenticity of Ann Wilson

Drawing from a deep personal archive of home movies, photographs, journals, and never-before-seen footage, “IN MY VOICE” offers fans an unprecedented window into Wilson’s life and artistry. For the first time, audiences will hear how she found her voice, sustained it across five decades, and allowed it to guide her through fame, adversity, and reinvention.

"This film is my story in my own words, told the way I’ve always wanted to tell it," says Ann. "It’s about finding my voice, keeping it alive, and sharing the journey with the people who’ve been part of it all along."

The documentary is directed by Barbara Hall, a Prime-Time Emmy®-nominated producer and director celebrated for her passion for remarkable human stories and music. With more than 25 years of experience in developing, producing, and directing original programming, Hall has built a career on authentic, immersive storytelling. She has helmed award-winning specials, series, long-form documentary films, concerts, and thematic music documentaries, and is known for securing rare, exclusive rights to bring untold narratives to the screen. A member of the Producers Guild of America, the Guild of Music Supervisors, and the Documentary Producers Alliance, Hall has also been honored with the 2025 Women In Film/Nashville Alice Award Trailblazer Award.

“What an honor to tell the story of one of our greatest rock music voices of all time,” says Hall. “Her voice notwithstanding, her story exceeds a scriptwriter’s imagination, and her courage to share her story is inspiring. She is a master of her craft and is not defined by genre or gender.”

“IN MY VOICE” promises to be a landmark documentary that brings Ann Wilson’s singular journey to the screen with honesty, power, and of course, heart. More details, including release information and exclusive content, will be announced soon.OFFICIAL | FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM  | TWITTER | YOUTUBE
