You can also watch the band’s recent (+very official) video for “feed me.” [link here]. The humorous visual, directed by Eleanor Petry, is loosely inspired by Jane Child’s late 80s pop classic (+ video) “Don’t Wanna Fall In Love.”
Headliners Chastity Belt recently appeared in the debut episode of Adult Swim's new show "Million Dollar Extreme Presents World Peace," performing their song "Drone" (from 2015's Time to Go Home) over the show's end credits. You can watch the first episode of MDEPWP here.

What people have said about So Pitted:
"Minimalist force is what Seattle punk band So Pitted does. They excel at it. On neo, their debut, the trio sound like the proverbial (mechanical) bull in a china shop—except that bull is intentionally there to fuck up some fine dinnerware and is determined to have a hell of a time doing it." - Pitchfork
“Catharsis and candor are embedded in these explosive tracks. So Pitted tap into the void that the likes of Black Flag and Nirvana looked into and saw themselves in.” - Consequence of Sound
“It’s grimy and tormented all right, but intent on subverting the many adolescent cliches and
connotations that come with grunge.” - The Guardian
“Maddeningly loud, loosely formed, disgusting like a romantic weekend trip down the local sewers.” - DIY
“Like an 80s DC hardcore band covering a forlorn Sebadoh demo (until it descends nihilistically into its final minute of diehard industrial static).” - The Quietus
“Their primal, scrappy rock and roll scrapes all optimism from your soul until you just don’t care about anything anymore.” [8/10] - Drowned In Sound
“…A barbed tarpit of sound.” - Loud & Quiet
“Snotty, snarling and belligerent.” - Uncut
“neo is part debut-album, part audio assault.” [4/5] - Upset
“It’s early in the year to make this sort of claim, but we can say with confidence that in ten months’ time you’ll be looking back on neo as one of 2016’s best debuts, by some distance." - The Skinny
“...A raucous, inspiring noise, the buzzsaw melody is matched to wailing feedback - imagine Bikini Kill set against early Mary Chain and you'd probably be in the same ballpark.” - Clash
“Quite simply, neo is noise rock like nothing else.” - London In Stereo
“...making a name for themselves with a sneery, warped, post-apocalyptic punk sound and wild stage show.” - Brooklyn Vegan
“…Buzzing with nausea and excitement. [rot in hell] burns with the urgency of the music you need to make or you’ll crumple, music you’d be making whether other people heard it or not.” - Impose
“So Pitted are poised to start a riot that’s very much their own.” - Record Collector
“The triad has haunted Seattle’s DIY underground since 2010, sometimes playing three shows a week (seemingly re-dying their hair a different color for each), honing an incredibly loud, atonal style of neo-grunge, equal parts confusing and enthralling. Koewler plays her guitar through a bass amp to achieve the band’s defining metallic low-end scuzz. Rodriguez, plucking out chaotic leads on his heavily effected guitar, barks unintelligibly feral screeds into a microphone so hard that his veins often look as though they’ll pop. Downey usually performs with self-fashioned pipe-cleaner antennae sticking out from his head. He occasionally switches places with Rodriguez to mumble his own strange songs, a left-field take on ’80s New Wave filtered through a filthy meat grinder.” - Seattle Weekly
“Boldly going where no rock band has gone before—and fucking around a bit, too.” [“Breaking” feature] - FLOOD

WARNER BROS. RECORDS RECORDING ARTIST
KAYA STEWART RELEASES NEW SINGLE “SLEEPOVER”
SINGLE AVAILABLE NOW
FULL-LENGTH DEBUT ALBUM AVAILABLE ON AUGUST 12TH
(July 15, 2016 – Los Angeles, CA) 16-year old singer, songwriter Kaya Stewart’s new single “Sleepover” is available today via Warner Bros. Records [https://smarturl.it/Kaya.Sleepover]. This is the first single from the songstress’ debut album set to release on August 12.
“Sleepover” couples an energetic distorted guitar hop and sultry, striking vocals. Co-written with and produced by RedOne [Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj], it ignites a feisty, fiery, and fun spark. The song’s inspiration came along during her time away from home in which she developed a unique understanding. “I was going out into the world more, and I realized boys can be terrible,” Stewart admits. “They only want one thing! So, I wrote about what I’m feeling in the moment with ‘Sleepover.’ It can speak to so many audiences and be perceived in different ways.”
The album will showcase every facet of the pop star’s signature style. It’s a full on collaboration with RedOne as well as her songwriter-producer-musician dad, Dave Stewart. Fans will feel her spunky spirit and witness her songwriting and vocal abilities, in which she wrote or co-wrote every single song on the album.
Enchanting and captivating fans since 2013, the daughter of iconic songwriter-producer-singer Dave Stewart uploaded an early version of her breakout hit “In Love With A Boy” to Soundcloud. Within a day, it clocked 20,000-plus plays. As she continued to write music, she signed to Warner Bros. Records and kicked off her journey.
In 2015, Kaya released the In Love With A Boy EP and hit the road on the Vans Warped Tour and High School Nation Tour. Over the course of the next year, she drew acclaim from USA Today, Billboard, Pop Crush, Nylon, Paper Magazine, and Entertainment Tonight who pegged her as “Warped Tour’s Next Breakout.” Simultaneously, “In Love With A Boy” generated nearly 5 million Spotify plays, while its video racked up more than 1 million views on YouTube.
Kicking off in August, Stewart will be on a summer tour with The Go-Go's and Best Coast. You can purchase tickets HERE. *Denotes headlining show, not in support of The Go-Go’s.

Psych quintet Bonfire Nights share new single and announce debut album, ‘Entopica Phenomica’ out October 21st

London-based psych-rock quintet Bonfire Nights have released their soaring new single, ‘Easy Touch’, a precursor to their debut album out via Holy Beatnik Records. Out August 19th, the track is a fine representation of the upcoming record, with ethereal soundscapes that pour over powerful drums and infectious vocal melodies.
“At its most basic level, the track is about control and power - but it's all wrapped up in a love song.” Says frontman and founder Steve Foster, “It's the uncomfortable tension between those elements. In a relationship, there is a moment when you become aware of the power you have over that other person. You realise you could use it negatively (as people often do). But instead you choose to relinquish that control, to reject that control: "submission is love.It was written at a time when our original bass player left London, so it was just myself (on guitar) and Ruth (on drums) in the jam room. I remember playing the guitar parts and trying to sing the bass line, so that Ruth could hear the groove and play that backbeat. It sounded like some sort of weird sexy Goth disco psych thing at time. Thankfully we've now got Leon on bass, James on guitar and Suzie doing the dual vocals and keys.”
On October 21st, they release their thunderous debut album, ‘Entopica Phenomica’. Nine tracks of groove-laden stoner jams, shimmering guitars, and the boy-girl vocal harmonies and pop hooks that set the band apart from many of their contemporaries.
Formed in Australia by Steve Foster and Ruth Nitkiewicz, Bonfire Nights packed their bags in 2011 and trekked to London for the promise of the big city lights. They hit the ground running, taking their brand of champagne shoegaze on the road for their first UK tour. The following year saw them journey to the United States for showcase events at SXSW and in New York City, with a couple of blistering college house-parties in between.
Back in the UK, they headed into the studio with Olly Betts of The Duke Spirit to lay down the groundwork for the pulsating neo-psych juggernaut ‘Ego Death’, which was released as a split 7” with Tripwires on Bad Vibrations Records. Sessions from this time also include the brooding and haunted ‘Low’, mixed by Ian Davenport (Band of Skulls, Supergrass) and featured on a limited edition compilation cassette from Fluffer Records.
This was followed by a period of intense gigging, sharing the stage with other like-minded acts such as Pond, The KVB,Lola Colt, The Drones, DZ Deathrays, Holydrug Couple and The Underground Youth. Bonfire Nights then recruited fellow Australians James Boyd on guitar and Suzie Creevey on keys, and further consolidated their psychotropic sound with Leon Ferbrache on bass.
In 2015 Bonfire Nights were back in the studio with Betts to record their debut album, ‘Entopica Phenomica’. Featuring walls of guitar noise, chiming distortion and sweeping synthesizers, the album sees the band exploring cerebral underworlds and experimenting with their sound.

Warpaint Extend Fall Tour
WARPAINT EXTEND FALL TOUR
HEADS UP
SET FOR RELEASE SEPTEMBER 23 ON ROUGH TRADE RECORDS[image error]Warpaint extend their expansive fall tour with new dates today, including November 12 at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsey, November 17 at Austin’s Emo’s and November 22 at San Diego’s Observatory North Park. Facial, Goldensuns and VS Colour will support on select dates. See below for full tour details. “Hi everyone—we’re adding more U.S. dates to our tour and we're bringing some of our favorite new bands with us—Facial, Goldensuns and VS Colour!” says the band. “Can't wait to see you all, it’s been long enough…x.” The tour celebrates the Los Angeles-based band’s highly anticipated new album,
Heads Up
, set for release September 23 via Rough Trade Records. Pre-order the album here.First single “New Song” recently premiered to widespread critical praise: [image error]“Warpaint blend art rock and pop eeriness” [image error]“easily the poppiest thing they've ever done and probably the
catchiest too - just try not singing it for the rest of the day,
even if you only hear the chorus once." [image error]“more driving and immediate than almost anything they’ve put out before." [image error]“the kind of song that Warpaint have always excelled at:
poppy and danceable, but never too predictable.” [image error]“As ever their harmonies are goosebump-inducing, the bass provides the
funked up backbone, and Emily and Theresa’s interlocking guitars
dance together in delicious synchronicity.” Heads Up was recorded after the band spent 2015 apart working on solo projects and their own endeavors. Reuniting in January of this year, the band invited producer Jacob Bercovici—with whom they had worked on their debut EP Exquisite Corpse—into the studio to begin work on the new LP. The band spent time recording in their House on the Hill studio in downtown Los Angeles, their own home studios and Papap’s Palace, and—for the first time ever—recorded in pairs and alone rather than as a full band, allowing for a new creative freedom. “The doors were a little more open in terms of what was accepted and what wasn’t, because we were sharing ideas so rapidly between us,” says the band’s drummer Stella Mozgawa of the recording process. “The roles that each of us individually had—or had established—were a little more malleable.” “Everybody was allowed to have their space, time and creative freedom with songs and figure out, ‘I wonder what the best notes would be? I wonder what the best part would be to play?’” says bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg. “Everybody got to sit and go, ‘What do I want to do on this? What’s my part? What’s my role? How can I make it the best?’” The result is an album influenced by artists as eclectic as Janet Jackson, Björk, Kendrick Lamar and Outkast. “I feel really proud of what we made—almost surprised and shocked,” says Lindberg. “When we were making it, I was like, ‘I wonder what this is going to sound like? How’s this going to come together?’ I love the way that it came together so nicely. I feel so proud of it, and like it’s an evolution of our band. It sounds like a mature version of Warpaint.” Warpaint is Emily Kokal (guitar, vocals), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass, vocals), Stella Mozgawa (drums, vocals) and Theresa Wayman (guitar, vocals). Heads Up follows their critically beloved debut EP Exquisite Corpse, 2010’s The Fool and 2014’s Warpaint. Haley Bonar Shares "I Can Change" Video With Elle Magazine; New Album Impossible Dream Out Now
Haley Bonar Shares "I Can Change" Video With Elle MagazineNew Album Impossible Dream Out NowFall Tour Dates Announced
"Impossible Dream, finds the underrated Minnesotan in top form, mixing darkness and light with a deft touch." - NPR"She's gonna be your new indie fave." - Elle Magazine "Haley Bonar’s Impossible Dream is a brisk half-hour of barbed power-pop tunes that sting so sweetly that it’s only after the fact you consider you might need a tetanus shot." - Pitchfork
"Bonar’s voice and lyrics are as pure and potent as ever, and the constantly shifting guitar aesthetics — from a distorted jangle to swampy bass and back — make for a versatile but focused body of work. Listen." - Stereogum
“Bonar creates a whimsical masterclass of indie-pop songwriting.” - Consequence Of Sound"These songs are so powerfully melodic, it’s difficult not to get swept into the world of an artist who is more than ready for her time in the spotlight." - American Songwriter
"An album that is as catchy and danceable as it is lush and poignant, the perfect soundtrack for an end-of-summer road trip." - BUST Magazine"In the past 10 years, she naturally progressed from stripped-down folk and country music to incorporating various layers of sound ranging from classical piano to sunshine pop.” - Interview"I love this ('I Can Change’)." - Sir Elton John, Rocket Hour on Beats 1"My pick for album of of the year” - Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 MusicWatch: "I Can Change" video at Elle Magazine or YouTubeStream: Impossible Dream via NPR First ListenWatch: "Kismet Kill" official video via NPR First Watch Haley Bonar's highly anticipated full-length album Impossible Dream on is out now via GNDwire (US) / Spit Comet (CA) / Memphis Industries (UK + EU). Impossible Dream has been rave reviews from influential publications such as Pitchfork, NPR, MOJO, Q, Uncut, Bust, No Depression and more. The album is available to order now on CD and limited edition teal vinyl in Haley Bonar’s Online Store as well as digitally via iTunes . Impossible Dream follows up Haley Bonar's acclaimed release Last War and was recorded on analog tape in at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, MN and was mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TVOTR) & Robbie Lackritz (Feist) at Haut Bruun.
Haley Bonar has shared the Josh Quigley directed video for "I Can Change" with Elle Magazine.Haley says, "I feel so lucky to have worked again with director/photographer Josh Quigley - apart from my album art on Last War, he and I worked on the video for "From A Cage", which was one of my fave projects. It was interesting to not be as involved with this video, as I wanted to see what Josh's vision and interpretation would be. I feel that the story is a simple but stirring narrative, jarring in its rawness and the terror that depression and panic can cause not only for the person experiencing it but for the ones around you. Carl Flink from the University of Minnesota's Black Label Movement was amazing to watch work with his movers, and their involvement was crucial to the video, portraying the human struggle in physical form. Everyone involved did such a beautiful job, and I have chills every time I watch this."
The critically praised album is currently streaming in full at NPR’s First Listen. NPR's Stephen Thompson says, "Haley Bonar was only 18 when she released her first album back in 2001 — and 15 years later, her sharp and reflective songwriting dwells (appropriately enough) on her current place in that ceaseless coming-of-age process. The songs on Impossible Dream revolve around the ways we age into our identity, learn to live within our own skin, and try to look back only fleetingly, with as little regret as possible. "I was impossible when I was beautiful," she sings in "Kismet Kill," packing all the ambivalence she can into just seven words."
Haley Bonar has also announced fall US and UK shows. The upcoming tour fall tour will make stop in major cites including Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Boston and more. Additional tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Haley Bonar has spent a lot of the past few years poring over her past. That has something to do with the sound of her recent recordings, whether it be her recent solo efforts or the throwback funky punky grooves of her side project Gramma’s Boyfriend.
But on her latest album Impossible Dream, this glance in the rearview has also inspired some of the most poignant and pointed work of her long career as songwriter even if you have to dig a little to find Bonar within the tunes.
Impossible Dream then, like all of Bonar’s work, gains its power from a combination of the personal and universal. Even when she sings about her days hitting up basement punk shows on “Better Than Me” or kicks off this album with an ode to her formative years in the gently chiming “Hometown,” it will surely stir up memories from your own younger days.
And as with her prior albums, Bonar reveals a widescreen look at the world, touching on issues of sexuality, jealousy, and the fragile ties that bind relationships together. If they connect with your circumstance and the cultural conversation at large, that’s just a welcome coincidence.“Those things have always been relevant to me,” Bonar says. “Those conversations have been happening my entire life.”
What is clear right now is the impact this album is looking to have on the world at large. Bonar has already received some excited press notices about the two singles from Impossible Dream that have already been released: “I Can Change” (“a resolute pillar of bold, classic songwriter,” according to The Line of Best Fit) and “Kismet Kill,” which Stereogum called “a penetrating rumination on just how transitory love and beauty can be.“). The biggest stamp of approval, though, has come from Elton John. The venerated singer/songwriter chose to play “I Can Change” on his Beats 1 show Rocket Man Radio. “Hearing Elton John say my song is beautiful is pretty awesome,” Bonar admits.
To say that Bonar’s career has been building towards that nod from a rock god, though, is to dismiss all the hard work she has done since she started releasing music in 2001. The 33-year-old singer/songwriter has been building a fanbase slowly and steadily, while remaining in complete control of her art. As with all of her prior albums, Bonar wrote and arranged all the songs onImpossible Dream. She also co-produced the record with Minneapolis mainstay Jacob Hanson. Chances are she’d be making this music even without the support of a label or her many fans around the world. But, just as the title of this new album suggests, she’s living out her wildest and most impossible dream right now.
“If somebody came to me as a teenager and said, ‘In 15 years, you’ll have made nine records and be touring the world,’ I would have been, like, ‘No way,’” she says, laughing. “It’s true that it might not look like a lot to some people, but it’s very special to me.”Haley Bonar Tour Dates9.06 | Chicago, IL - Schubas 9.07 | Columbus, OH - Ace of Cups 9.08 | Philadelphia, PA - World Cafe Live 9.09 | Portsmouth, NH - Birdseye 9.10 | Portland, ME - SPACE 9.11 | Cambridge, MA - The Middle East 9.13 | Brooklyn, NY - Knitting Factory 9.14 | Washington, DC - Black Cat9.16 | Cincinnati, OH - MOTR Pub9.17 | Bloomington, IN - The Bishop 9.24 | Eau Claire, WI - The State Theater 10.13 | Hamburg, DE - Kleiner Donner10.14 | Berlin, DE - Privatclub10.15 | Munich, DE - Hauskonzerte.com10.16 | Offenbach, DE - Hafen 210.17 | Amsterdam, DE - Paradiso10.19 | Paris, FR - Espace B10.21 | Brighton, UK - Green Door Store10.22 | Gateshead, UK - The Sage ^10.23 | Glasgow, UK - The Hug & Pint10.24 | Leeds, UK - Brudenell Social Club10.27 | London, UK - Moth Club10.28 | Bristol, UK - The Louisiana10.29 | Manchester, UK - The Ritz ^

All Your Happy Life LP out September 30th on Heavenly Recordings

The Wytches announce details of the release of a new single, “C-Side”, from their forthcoming 2nd album, All Your Happy Life . “C-Side”, recorded by Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds / Grinderman) in Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire and mixed by Sclavunos and Mikey Young, is released on the same day as the album, 30th September on Heavenly Recordings.
The Wytches second album All Your Happy Life draws on a lifetime’s worth of new experiences shoehorned into two whirlwind years since their acclaimed debut album Annabel Dream Reader. There’s no difficult second album syndrome here. This black-hearted set is a combination of heavy comedown psychedelia and bilious and brilliant baroque ‘n’ roll. It’s portentous and scathing. Scabrous and bold. Utterly nihilistic.
Influences and inspiration is drawn from unexpected places – reading Tolstoy’s stories of dysfunctional relationships on the tour bus, digging the warm Hammond-and-acoustic tones of Elliot Smith, loads of underground metal band – but mainly it is informed by observing small town English life with new eyes, having traversed the planet on that first wave of success that followed their 2014 debut. It’s not so much the sound of the calm after the storm, but the howling vortex that follows in its wake.
All Your Happy Life marks a creative leap for The Wytches. Some might say it is the sound of a band finding their place in the world but really it is about world being allowed to enter the sphere of The Wytches - on their terms.

September 16th Promises EP out on Thrill Jockey, Full Album in 2017

The Promises EP serves as the beginning of a new phase for Blakeslee’s ENTRANCE. He resurrected the pioneering solo project when he signed with Thrill Jockey earlier this year, intent on releasing music that reflected his creative rebirth. Blakeslee will be following the EP in early 2017 with a new full-length ENTRANCE studio album.
In the meantime, the LA based Baltimore native is looking forward to reuniting with some old friends when he hits the road on August 8th. Blakeslee will be performing solo each night along the tour with Beach House, however, the September dates will feature a rotating lineup of musicians joining him to round out a full band. The Mystery Lights Featured On NME With New Video
NME INTERVIEWS THE MYSTERY LIGHTS
PREMIERES "LIVE FROM THE HOUSE OF SOUL" VIDEO
DEBUT LP OUT NOW ON WICK (DAPTONE RECORDS)
WATCH & SHARE: The Mystery Lights - "Live At The House Of Soul"
"A great glimpse into The Mystery Lights’ high-energy live set that’s torching stages across America" - NMENME premieres a live video part of Daptone's "Live At The House Of Soul" series, featuring The Mystery Lights performing "What Happens When You Turned The Devil Down?" The song is the closing track from the band's self-titled debut LP released earlier this summer on Daptone's new rock imprint, Wick Records. Previous artists to perform in the label's Bushwick backyard for the series include Charles Bradley and Antibalas.
NPR's David Dye applauded the band on his 'World Cafe: Next' weekly segment, saying that they "combine the aesthetic of [New York]'s downtown dwellers (like The Velvet Underground) with a present-day urgency." Pitchfork noted that "there's a stoned, analog atmosphere hanging over everything, but there's a fire and toughness, too. [Mike] Brandon, like Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones before him, performs with a power and vigor that keeps him undeniable." The record also gathered praises from Rolling Stone, NOISEY, Nerdist, Brooklyn Vegan, and more.
The Mystery Lights are currently on a headlining tour across the States.TOUR DATES
