MIXES OF A LOST WORLD, conceived and compiled by Robert Smith, is a new remix collection of tracks from The Cure’s acclaimed #1 2024 album, SONGS OF A LOST WORLD. The set features brand-new remixes from Four Tet, Paul Oakenfold, Orbital and many more, with the deluxe edition including additional remixes and reworks by Chino Moreno (Deftones), Mogwai and 65daysofstatic, among others.
This stunning collection will be released on June 13th on Fiction/Capitol Records, with all The Cure's recording royalties benefitting War Child UK (https://www.warchild.org.uk).
MIXES OF A LOST WORLD will be available as 3LP/3CD/3MC deluxe editions featuring both the ‘Artists’ & ‘Remixers’ tracks. The 3LP set includes three half speed mastered 180g heavyweight black bio vinyl LPs, a tri-gatefold printed sleeve, and a large foldout poster; the triple deluxe CD has an 8-panel digisleeve and includes a foldout poster; the limited edition 3MC set has individually printed o-cards and obi-strip and is exclusive to The Cure store (https://shopuk.thecure.com/collections/music-1).
The 2LP/2CD/2MC edition features the ‘Remixers’ tracks only and comes as a black vinyl 2LP with a gatefold sleeve; a double CD in 6-panel digisleeve includes foldout CD poster; the limited edition double cassette has individually printed o-cards and obi-strip is also exclusive to The Cure store.

Initially formed in 1978, The Cure has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, headlined the Glastonbury festival four times and been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. They are considered to be one of the most influential bands to ever come out of the UK. The Cure’s first album in 16 years, Songs Of A Lost World reached #1 in fifteen countries and the top 5 in a further seven, including the U.S. at #4.
Andy Vella, a long-time Cure collaborator, has ‘remixed’ the artwork for the album, which as with Songs Of A Lost World, features 'Bagatelle', a 1975 sculpture by Janez Pirnat.

On their new EP Broken Sword, Rotten Shield, Full of Hell sharpen their blade with ambition. These seven new songs are a blistering meditation on love, loss, and the crushing inevitability of grief. Through a fantasy-tinged lens, the band crafts a world of dog knights and noble quests, only to tear it all down in a violent reckoning with mortality. As vocalist Dylan Walker explains, these symbolic protectors—pure-hearted and loyal—stand in for the real-life companions we lose, and the void left behind when they’re gone.
The EP’s lead single and video, “Knight’s Oath,” captures the tragic beauty of unwavering devotion, portrayed through a surreal tale of anthropomorphic warriors driven by honor and grief. Meanwhile, the title track lays bare the record’s core idea: that in the face of time and death, all living things are rendered equal. Full of Hell vocalist Dylan walker says the song is about "...absolute dedication to your charge, be it a person you love or held tenet, and the ignominy that comes with a sudden defeat. That idea acts as a metaphor for the grief you feel when you lose an animal companion. It feels pointless, cruel, and void in the moment. The video channels those ideas and takes the viewer on a quest with our noble dog knight and his cohorts as they quest for glory and wealth in the face of darkness."

Before Chat Pile took on sold-out tours and widespread critical acclaim, they played Roadburn 2023—their biggest show to date, in front of a packed room of 3,000 on the festival's main stage. Fresh off the release of God’s Country, the Oklahoma quartet brought their suffocating, sludgy noise rock to Tilburg for their first-ever European performance, delivering a set that felt like a milestone. The bleakness, the anguish, the raw absurdity—it all scaled up effortlessly, proving that Chat Pile’s chaos could consume any audience, no matter the size.
The set was recorded by the Roadburn staff and later remixed by the band’s longtime engineer, Jared Stimpfl, capturing the full weight of the performance.The result is something both massive and unrelenting—a document of Chat Pile at a pivotal moment, pushing their sound to its heaviest and most visceral extremes.

Bassist Stin explains: "While our Roadburn performance wasn't the most polished, we hope fans will get a kick out of experiencing the nerves and excitement we felt on stage playing in front of the radically largest audience we'd ever played to at that point in the band's history. It's a raw chronicling of a very important moment in our lives and we're very excited to share it with you."
Live at Roadburn is streaming on digital platforms now and is available from the band directly at Roadburn ahead of their Saturday, April 19 main stage performance. Additionally, vinyl will be available for Flenser Subscription Series 7 and will be available worldwide on vinyl at a later date in 2025.

Today, celebrated singer-songwriter, doula, and community organizer Domino Kirke releases her second full-length album, The Most Familiar Star , a luminous and soul-searching body of work that maps the emotional terrain of identity and motherhood with striking honesty.
Written in the wake of postpartum reflection, The Most Familiar Star began as an intimate attempt to reconnect with the self she felt slipping away after years of caregiving, partnership, and motherhood. But life, as always, had other plans. In the midst of the album rollout, during interviews, performances, and visual storytelling, Kirke discovered she was pregnant again. With twins.
“I set out to write an album about returning to myself after losing parts of me to motherhood, and in a beautiful twist of fate, I found out I was carrying new life again, twice over,” Kirke shares. “So, while I was promoting this work about finding balance after birth, I was doing it all while growing two new humans inside me. It’s been surreal and poetic.”
Throughout the 10 tracks on The Most Familiar Star, Kirke traces the raw, nonlinear path of emotional rebirth, grieving old selves, rediscovering forgotten desires, and learning to hold both the light and dark of transformation. The album features ethereal contributions from Angel Olsen (on the haunting “It’s Not There”), as well as production by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and Eliot Krimsky.
The sonic palette, marked by hazy synths, wistful strings, and intimate vocal layering, wraps listeners in a kind of musical cocoon. From the cathartic storytelling of “Secret Growing” (where she addresses childhood sexual abuse and re-parenting her inner child), to the fragile resilience in “Teething,” the album is a reckoning with love, identity, and the passage of time.
“The Most Familiar Star is about coming back,” Kirke explains. “It’s about who we become when no one’s watching. It’s about growing up, again and again.”
Her delicate, moving single “Stepchild” was featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where Kirke's performance further revealed her ability to hold emotion in its most nuanced and lived-in form. She was also recently profiled in Vogue, and her story has been covered by Rolling Stone, People, SPIN, and other major outlets, each praising her for her fearless storytelling and unmistakable voice.
With The Most Familiar Star, Kirke not only reclaims herself, she offers a roadmap for anyone navigating the tension between becoming and remembering. And now, as she prepares to welcome twins into the world, this record stands as both a closing chapter and an opening portal.

"Girl on the Run" follows her most recent single, "Woman Gone Mad," which dove into themes of resistance, strength, and solidarity while she navigated the current state of the world..all while dealing with the grief of the LA fire aftermath that ravaged her own neighborhood of Altadena.

Ultimately being a ‘girl on the run’ is about becoming the heroine of your own life story, choosing to love yourself first and foremost, and continuing to say yes to the ride of life —no matter how crazy, wild, or uncertain the road seems.”
“Girl On The Run” came to be as ILUKA took a road trip through the desert with a friend. After stopping through Tucson, AZ, ILUKA felt inspired as she took pictures with all the cacti along the highway. She finished the lyrics from the point of view of herself and her friend as outlaw cowgirls on the run, Thelma & Louise style. The story unraveled from there, becoming an ode to leaving her previous life in Australia to create something new in the U.S.
Raised on a farm in the Blue Mountains of Australia, ILUKA learned the craft of song and soul from her father, a skilled luthier. His handmade guitars were more than instruments—they were the foundation of her sonic journey. From the start, ILUKA has been driven by a singular vision to create brave music. Her songs are both vulnerable in their storytelling and memorable in their protest. YouTubeCHIME OBLIVION began out of the blue. David Barbarossa reached out to John Dwyer saying he was a fan, and he was quickly invited to an OSEES show in London. The two hung out and hit it off, "then I rabbit holed on Bow wow wow too…," Dwyer recalls. "I reached out to David and suggested that we try and write some songs together... I flew David out, we met at my studio and spent five days writing basin drums ideas." The two got to know each other and had a lot of laughs.
Dwyer then brought in Weasel Walter, knowing that he would be perfect "to add all that legitimate old-school weird proto-punk no wave guitar scratch to it, which of course he did masterfully." Next came Tom Dolas to play fuzzy marimba, and the fabulous H.L. Nelly, "as I knew her from a record I’d put out back in the day for a band called Naked Lights from Oakland. I knew that she could pull off the vocal style I had in mind."
Together, the group created their debut self titled album, out today via Deathgod. CHIME OBLIVION will be released as a 45 rpm 12" vinyl, CD & on digital.
