ANNIE-CLAUDE DESCHÊNES- Shares new single "Main de Fer" out now via Italians Do It Better + Bonsound

Montreal based multidisciplinary artist Annie-Claude Deschênes returns with new single "Main de Fer ", out now via Italians Do It Better & Bonsound.
On "Main de Fer", Annie-Claude Deschênes fuses minimal techno with avant-garde to trigger a disorienting exploration through emotional isolation. An invisible grip engulfs the mind and erases the contours of the self, leading to a silence where breath is extinguished as the soul dissolves in the shadow of control. Its disturbing soundscapes and fragmented textures challenge the blindness of the self and others, offering us the opportunity to free ourselves from our inhibitions in a controlled chaos.

As a key figure on the Montreal independent music scene for the last two decades, she has left her mark as a performer & visual artist with Duchess Says & PyPy; two bands that are renowned as much for their electrifying live shows as they are for their artistic sensibilities. Always forward, her exploratory approach takes her into uncharted territory with her debut as a solo artist. The urgency that characterises her work remains, but frustration & aggression give way to introspection & vulnerability.
Over the course of her career, Annie-Claude Deschênes shared the stage with a number of renowned bands, including The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, The Black Lips, The Hives, The Hot Snakes & Buzzcocks, among others. Her debut solo album titled ' LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE' was released last year via Italians Do It Better & Bonsound.

New Dates Added: “Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello,” Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton

Elvis Costello has extended his “Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello” tour with 22 new East Coast and Midwest dates starting September 18th in Bethlehem, PA and running through October 22nd in Omaha, NE.
As previously announced, the first leg of the “Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello” tour, performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, spans June 12th in Seattle, WA through Miami Beach, FL on July 12th.
As the playful billing suggests, the show will feature numbers drawn from record releases from “My Aim Is True” in 1977 to “Blood & Chocolate” in 1986, along with other surprises.
Those nine years saw the first appearance of some of Elvis Costello’s most renowned compositions from “Watching The Detectives” to “I Want You”, along with songs that have remained in The Imposters’ live repertoire over the last 20 or more years, including “Alison,” “Man Out Of Time” and “Brilliant Mistake.”
Asked about the surprising theme of this tour, Costello responded:
“For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago. Among them, “Radio Soul,” the first draft of what eventually became “Radio Radio.”
Regarding the decision to sharpen the focus on a specific period of time, Costello reminded us:
“You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure. Don’t forget this show is “Performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters”, an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new. They are nobody’s tribute band.
The Imposters are a living, breathing, swooning, kicking and screaming rock and roll band who can turn their hands to a pretty ballad when the opportunity arises.”
The Imposters are Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher and they are joined once again by guitarist, Charlie Sexton.
Recent performances of Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton received widespread acclaim:
“Costello is proving he’s an indefatigable force of nature, and one of the greatest showmen in the history of rock ’n’ roll. We’re lucky to bear witness.” – Nashville Scene, 1/30/24
“Elvis Costello and the Imposters laid the crowd to waste.” – Riverfront Times, 1/30/24
Costello concluded:
"If there is an encore and we play, “Farewell, OK”, it probably means some of those “Early Songs” will have been performed in your city for the very last time. I don’t want to go back, I want to bring these songs into the present day, once more, in the event they are ever pushed out of the way by the next number that I write.
You could say time is running out but only time will tell.
Don’t be late, the band hits at eight.”
This tour follows the fall 2024 release of “King Of America & Other Realms” - a 6-CD anthology that tells the story of that 1986 album and the music to which it led. The “King Of America” songs are expected to be heard in the mid-show interlude, along with songs written as long ago as 1975 and even some of those “pretty ballads” that Costello has promised.

Industrial giants Die Krupps to join Ministry on 2025 North American tour!

Industrial giants Die Krupps to join Ministry on 2025 North American tour!
Los Angeles, CA — Post-industrial provocateurs Die Krupps are set to ignite stages across North America this summer as direct support for the legendary Ministry on their highly anticipated 2025 tour.
The bill also includes performances from My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and Nitzer Ebb, and Die Kruups founder Jurgen Engler describes it as “The tour we have been awaiting for a long time.
“It's the perfect package, a great line-up of bands, which for sure is exciting for the U.S. and Canadian fanbase, and for us! We have all met before in the past, so it will be like a one big happy family going out together.
“Also, Die Krupps haven't done a full blown U.S/Canada tour in almost three decades. Now is the time for us to reconnect with our fans and show them that this band is far from retired! Hope to see you all soon, to the hilt!!!”
Just ahead of hitting the road, the band has unleashed their hypnotic new single, “Cinnamon Girl” — a dark, dirge-like homage to the sonic spirits of Neil Young (whose own “Cinnamon Girl” sounds nothing like this!) and Type O Negative.
Dripping in noir atmosphere and analog melancholy, the track also introduces the enigmatic Cinnamon Babe, a fast-rising star in the dark-pop underground whose voice floats through the song like smoke in a dim-lit motel room.
“‘Cinnamon Girl’is about memory, obsession, and the soft tragedy of stardom,” Engler continues. “We wanted it to feel like a furious version of that famous Blue Velvet backroom scene where Dennis Hopper is listening to ‘The Candy-Colored Clown Called The Sandman’.”

For more than four decades, Die Krupps have carved out a distinctive space in the modern underground. Originating from the same hometown as fellow robots Kraftwerk, blending brooding synths, jagged guitars, and dystopian visual aesthetics, their signature sound fuses electronic attacks with the visceral punch of Industrial Metal — a style critics have described as “what would happen if Bowie scored a horror film produced by Trent Reznor, if he was from Dusseldorf!
And, as “Cinnamon Girl” hits streaming platforms and Die Krupps take the stage with Ministry, fans can expect a thunderous live set soaked in high tension, lots of sweat, the notorious steelophone and electrified doom. Don’t miss it!

“...their sound, and goals, are all their own — reinventing indie music for a modern age while increasing representation for Latin artists in the genre.”

"...the young band deliberately lean into more expansive textures and darker thematic territory, distilling all their coming of age angst into a decidedly mature trio of soundscapes."

“late night drive home reminds us that we shouldn’t form a picture of the world through
make-believe.”

Today releasing the second single from their upcoming debut record, late night drive home opens “she came for a sweet time” with the familiar screech of guitar feedback. The next scene in the band’s portrait of living their entire existence in the shadow of the internet, the new single is a case study on dating apps. Intoxicated not only by the endless options to swipe through, but by the feeling that you always have to be with another person, there’s a moral panic behind how we only show the best of ourselves online. After much back and forth about using other people as an escape, the song comes to a sobering, sudden halt with the line, “But you still got to work a ten hour shift after this” — Stream.
“The song speaks about online hookup and meet-up culture — the instant gratification cultivated by TikTok and Reels,” says the band’s guitarist Juan “Ockz” Vargas. “Online dating apps work the same way; you’re able to swipe between hundreds of individuals in the span of five minutes, turning love into content.”
Singer Andre Portillo continues, “Isolation is an interesting concept when you factor in the idea of millions of people in the palm of your hand. We see face after face, yet we don't think twice about our social interactions. The cure instantly becomes the downfall of your mental stability. Relationships lose meaning, I mean, there's no point in worrying about the previous interaction when you'll have a new one the next day.”
Today’s single also arrives with a frenetic and eclectic official video. Starring the band, they are surrounded by flashing, glitchy content that represents the unquietable online mind — Watch.

On June 27, late night drive home will release their debut LP as I watch my life online via Epitaph. A commentary on the World Wide Web, the 13-track offering codes together vignettes of mistaking online connection for something real. With their success outgrowing the bedrooms they used to create in, late night drive home’s debut album is the first time they’ve worked in proper studios. And with this growth, we see them move from the indie-rock bucket to a more expansive, electronic realm — Pre-save.

So far from the record, the band released the glitchy yet crystalline “terabyte,” a rumination on an addiction to adult content and the unending cycle of seeking online validation and destroying self-worth. The first release saw early support from DIY, AltPress, Glide, The Line of Best Fit and more, as well as a placement on the cover of Spotify’s New Noise playlist.
Bringing their debut album to the road this summer, the as I watch my life online Tour begins in July in Austin, TX. late night drive home will play in some of the biggest rooms of their young career across 22 dates, culminating in a massive hometown show in El Paso, TX, on August 16. JOZEF VAN WISSEM And JIM JARMUSCH Release Debut Single Off The Upcoming Collaborative LP - 'Concerning Celestial Hierarchy' Is Available From Now On

Release: June 6.Genres: Neo-classical,dark folk.Format: LP,CD,DR.
Cat.Number: Inc 040/41Label: Incunabulum
Track-list:1.Concerning Celestial Hierarchy2.The Day The Angels Cried
3.The First Language
4. She Burns In Devotion, Her Virtue Sweet Like Honey5.There Is No Answer6.To Those Who Mourn7.Concerning The Law Of AngelsAcclaimed director and musician Jim Jarmusch and experimental lute player and composer Jozef van Wissem met nearly 20 years ago, forming a close bond after they ran into each other on the streets of New York City. In 2011, they began performing and producing records together. The follow up to “American Landscapes “ entitled “ The Day The Angels Cried” releases June 6 and coincides with a world tour. On their first single Concerning Celestial Hierarchy from their new release The Day The Angels cried the duo weaves an intricate Lute and Electric guitar tapestry. The piece is a droning minimal folk noir composition destined to lure the listener with their Dark Hypnosis. As Jozef van Wissem states: "The descending/ascending lute melodie forms a repeating mirror image, a palindrome in of itself. But the lute piece engages in a meaningful question and answer dialogue with Jim’s electric guitar part. Jim’s improvised haunting electric guitar almost sounds like a voice".Van Wissem’s work comes from a tradition of avant-garde minimalism and lends itself well to the director’s stark cinematic works. Jarmusch has played guitar in bands on and off since the late ‘70s. Van Wissem’s compositional style involves hypnotic circular musical phrases that allow for a lot of contemplative space between the notes.Their first live performance was in Issue Project Room in Brooklyn in October 2011, where they appeared together for a Van Wissem curated concert program called “New Music for Early Instruments.” The idea for their first album, Concerning the Entrance Into Eternity (Important Records) developed from their live performance. Jarmusch has said that he considers these songs as Van Wissem’s compositions, and sees himself as someone filling in the background to Jozef ’s foreground, like the “scenic” on a film shoot, the one who paints the backdrops. “The sound of the lute is as bright as the sun, a beautiful red color and my stuff sounds sort of like the moon, more like blue, like mercury.”

“she’s green’s sound is a meticulous blend of soaring melodies.”
- COMPLEX
“A major player in the bubbling North American shoegaze resurgence.”
- PAPER MAGAZINE
“As bands around the world are leaning into louder, dreamier ways to make rock records, she’s green are a shining example of how to be inspired, but still have something new to express.”
- THE CURRENT
“An extremely exciting band to watch.”
- ATWOOD MAGAZINE
“Listening to she’s green feels like drifting down a glittering river in the sun, whilst simultaneously evoking feelings of sitting on a porch in the country as the dark sky cries.”
- THE MINNESOTA DAILY
Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to share their new single, “Figurines,” via Photo Finish Records, arriving alongside a poignant official music video. “Figurines” embodies a dreamy introspection of that past, pairing Zofia Smith’s ethereal vocals with the band’s lush, organic instrumentation. True to she’s green’s signature style, the track begins in a mellow haze before erupting into vibrant, full-bodied release.

“In the setting of someone finding themselves lost at a crossroads, ‘Figurines’ depicts the distressful feelings of adolescent self-discovery,” say she’s green. “The emblem of a figurine embodies eerily familiar images of adolescence, forgotten memories that resurface with newfound significance in adulthood.”
The music video for “Figurines” premiered yesterday on Post-Trash, visually mirroring the song’s emotional arc with shifting light, shadows, and a haunting sense of memory. It follows a disturbed Zofia as she drifts through the quiet interiors of her home. Natural light filters through the windows, casting soft glows that wash over each scene, while each passing moment brings a memory to life. As night falls, the memories intensify, colliding and converging, drawing her into a powerful, emotional reckoning.
“Figurines” follows the release of February’s “Graze,” the band’s first offering since their 2023 debut EP, Wisteria, which received recognition from all corners of the internet, especially on Reddit, amid the growing North American shoegaze renaissance. Songs like “Mandy” and “Syndulla” quickly became fan favorites for their otherworldly sound, thoughtful production and emotionally intense lyrics.

she’s green show no signs of slowing down. After opening for Frank Black at The Current’s 20th-anniversary show earlier this year, they joined Phoenix shoegaze band Glixen and NYC scene favorite Suzy Clue on the road this spring. Playing across the country and making first-time appearances at San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival and Seattle’s Freakout Weekender, the band is now slated to support Softcult on the road this summer. Last year, the festival expanded to New York for the first time, featuring performances by Reneé Rapp, Janelle Monáe, MUNA, Ethel Cain, Julien Baker, and more, all to a sold-out audience. All Things Go consistently strives to deliver a unique and diverse lineup while elevating the voices of underrepresented artists. This year's All Things Go Festival lineup promises another year of incredible performances from established and emerging artists across a myriad of genres, with the majority of artists identifying as women or non-binary.
Newcomers, in particular, are always warmly welcomed by the avid, curious, and dedicated ATG audience. All Things Go fosters a strong sense of community among attendees, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for music lovers to come together and celebrate their shared passion. Some artists and fans have given ATG loving and cheeky nicknames, including “Gay-chella”, “All Things Gay,” and “Lesbopalooza.” The upcoming year’s festival is set to be its biggest yet.

photo credit: Baeth April 21, 2025—Breakout vocalist and songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith confirms her sophomore album, THE ART OF BEING A MESS , is set for release June 27 on Island Records/Republic Records. This Friday, she’ll share a first taste of the new music with “IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL).” Pre-order HERE/pre-save HERE.“‘IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL)’ taps into a sound that’s edgier, darker, and more honest than anything I’ve released before,” Spencer Smith explains, “It’s a reflection of the anger, power, and fire I’ve felt—and a sign of how much I’ve grown, both personally and musically. This song is just the beginning of exploring deeper, more unapologetically angry emotions and being honest about the sides of ourselves we don’t always show.”True to its name, THE ART OF BEING A MESS captures the emotional rollercoaster Spencer Smith experienced while writing her second album. Each song taps into a feeling—anger, devastation, love, peace, confusion and everything in between, sometimes all at once. Reflecting on the chaos of being human, each song finds Spencer Smith revisiting real stories and experiences in her life. With this album, she reminds listeners to embrace and feel comfortable in their emotions, that not everything is black-and-white.“THE ART OF BEING A MESS is about embracing the highs and lows, the chaos and the beauty in feeling everything, no matter what the emotion is,” Spencer Smith explains, “Life gets messy, and it’s okay to be angry, sad, confused—or even unsure of what you’re feeling at all. I want this album to feel like a guidebook, helping you understand your own emotions and feeling okay to embrace the journey they take you on.”THE ART OF BEING A MESS follows her debut album, Mirror (2023), which features the RIAA Certified Platinum singles “Flowers” and “Fingers Crossed”—the latter of which peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has reached over 875 million global streams. From a small town on Vancouver Island, Spencer Smith began her musical journey in 2019, gaining a sizeable audience online. Through her music, she explored breakups, complex feelings about school, family and friends. Spencer Smith has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the People’s Choice Awards—where she was also a Best New Artist nominee.
