Tuesday Tips: Matching all your professional components

Recently I visited a fitness studio to get some information about the services they offered. (I was thinking ahead to winter, when those holiday pounds tend to sneak up on me!)

This particular gym had been running professionally produced ads on local TV stations, and the studio itself matched the broadcast image.

The instructors, dressed in jerseys with the company’s logo, were knowledgeable and friendly, and the interior was clean and well-maintained.

So far so good.

I am probably a cover artist’s nightmare, one of those authors who don’t have an idea of what they want for a cover image but know what they don’t want when they see it.

My Rut-Busting Book for Writers Publishing Process – Part 1

I have lost count of how many times I have read RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR WRITERS.

First, there were the multiple times I read each chapter, adding, subtracting, revising and rewriting until I was relatively happy with the content.

Then, there was the read-through of the entire manuscript, looking for inconsistencies in formatting or sections where I repeated myself.

My Rut-Busting Book for Writers Marketing Plan and Process – Part 1

I started July by spending hours (and hours and hours!) going through all the information I had amassed over the years on book marketing and then inputting it into a spreadsheet to create the marketing plan for RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR WRITERS.

Even though this is my third book, (my first, THE GIFT OF CHANGE, came out in 2004, followed 10 years later by TRAVELING LEFT OF CENTER AND OTHER STORIES), in many ways I feel like a newbie author.
