is on page 40 of 292 of Stoner: Pretty wild that I picked this book up not having any clue what it was about; it was recommended by two separate bookstagrammars. And lo and behold—it’s set in the same time period as my last book, Angel
Down. The two could not be more different in tone, style, or the natures of the protagonists. It’s like reading the same subject from opposite ends of the spectrum, but definitely gripped me so far.
