The Trivial Things

This was taped to an electrical box at a Muni bus stop at Spear & Howard. I saw it on a Thursday when I left work, but didn't have time to stop and read the whole thing until Friday. By Monday morning someone else had added the line at the bottom.

Ready to Grow Up

I had just recently discovered FOUND and immediately went out and bought the first book on the way to my parents' house for dinner one night. I was showing my parents the book when my mom told me she had found a poem of sorts that had blown in their yard after a storm that had happened that very afternoon. She had thrown it in the trashcan outside, so I had my dad dig it out, and here it is! My mom now knows to never just throw away something so valuable!

Listen You Animal

Someone has been wiping their boogers on the bathroom wall. Animal!

I Type Statement

We found this in a parking lot near the group picnic sights and thought it was fitting that there were signs up announcing that the group that was there was for a family reunion.

Honest Coffee Drinkers

My friends passed this on to me after finding it on the floor in their business' cafeteria.

Daddy Give Me This

A couple of years ago, I received this 5 dollar bill as change from, I don't remember where. On it is written, "Daddy give me this. 11/19/05 He said it would be the last he ever give me. I love Daddy."

Recently while scrounging for loose change with which to pay some bills, I lay this bill atop the pile. My daughter asked if times were so tough that I would use this $5. I guess not. At least not until I know the story.

The Ideal Man

Found this in a copy of a Thornton Wilder play at the library. Next to the word dating, whoever wrote this scribbled out "me."

Someone has a very specific picture of their ideal man.

Or they're just a stalker.

When I was hanging out at this beer garden right on the beach, I looked down and noticed this on the floor by my foot. While the 3 people I was with continued their conversation, I read this to myself, amazed. Finally I had to interrupt them to show them my find. I think it was the "wife is Scottish" that really won me over.

Bizarre

I found this on the desk behind me in my 9th grade English class. It was so incredibly random that people tried to take it from me all day long. I still haven't found out who "Scott" is at my high school.

WANTED!

Found at the Lavaca St. Bar in downtown Austin near midnight on July 4th, 2009. The bar has a photo booth where patrons can get in and take silly photos, this was sitting on a table next to the photo booth.
