Dare to Surrender Teasers
Today begins a big DARE TO SURRENDER PREORDER blog blitz. That means you’re going to see a lot of mentions, or at least I hope you will. Sports
I like sports, some more than others. Some seasons more than others. Baseball is something I enjoy – Mets Fan – so not much to enjoy the last oh too many years and Red Sox fan (lots to enjoy). Football I like and we’re Patriots fans here. Since I write sports heroes on occasion, it’s only fitting I like the sports I write about. So all’s well.
But then there are the sports I don’t enjoy. Hockey? Meh. But the sport that I dislike and think lasts way too long, both college and pro is basketball. Apologies to the fans, but it’s not my thing. To top it off, it’s loud when on TV at home – and my husband loves it, so it’s on. Often. Oh while I’m at it? Another sport I can not stand is soccer (David Beckham being the exception. I’ll take him anywhere any time ). And when it’s World Cup soccer with those awful noises coming from the TV? Noooo!

New Student Orientation
Gotcha! No I am not going back to college. I am going to college as the parent of an incoming first year student. She’s my second child and no I won’t be an empty nester because mini-me oldest is back home after graduating college. So I’m going to Penn State this Wed-Thurs with my daughter and husband. She starts this summer, comes home for a week and goes back for fall. So this college stuff has me wondering … if you went to college, was it the “best four years of your life?” Would you do it again if you could? My answers … At the time, yes it was the best four years of my life. No, I wouldn’t go back. Things are pretty darn good now.

Guest Author Opal Carew!
Doing special projects, like Invitation to Eden, has allowed me to meet authors I’ve always admired. Today, I’m lucky to have Erotic Romance Author, Opal Carew here to talk about her newest release (and to do a giveaway!).

I am so excited to be writing a guest blog for Carly today – but she is a hard act to follow! So I want to start by sharing the news that the first two installments of my erotic serial novel His to Claim are being released today (June 3rd)!

In particular, I really just can’t get enough of one returning hero – Storm! I liked him so much that I wrote a prequel to His to Possess called Taken by Storm that was released in the New York Times Bestselling Unraveled Box Set. And I was thrilled to be able to explore the character of this sexy biker rock musician even more in His to Claim. I fell in love with Storm as I was writing him, and I think my readers did too!
But what is it about rock musicians that we just find so irresistible? Is it their bad-boy rocker appeal? Pure musical talent? Impending fame and fortune?
For me, it’s the allure of adventure and freedom! I could just hop on a tour bus with Storm and go anywhere (or park anywhere, if that’s what he wanted – haha!). Travel the world, watch him dedicate songs to me in a different town every night. That’s the dream, right? And that may just be what Melanie is after too….
But Carly and I want to know what your opinion! What do you think is the sexiest thing about rock musicians?

Conference Time for Me #RAGT14
On Thursday I leave for my first reader conference this year. Lori Foster’s Reader Author Get Together. I’ve gone once before, but this is my first in awhile. And it’s my first as an “Indie” author. Why is this a big deal? Well it’s the first time I’m selling my own books and I have no idea how it works. I’m so nervous!
