I woke up and stared into backlit, incendiary eyes. Then he sunk his fangs into my neck and pain imploded in my brain, stopping my heart mid-beat.

Atlantis, of course!

Did my first husband actually die? Or is he still alive?

Hi C,
Sorry I didn't see the question. I really love Cade's character, but after careful consideration I decided to give the series a rest. I might do a serial about him on the new apps which release by scene or chapter... I'll let you know if and when. And thank you for writing.
Kind regards,
Susan

Hey Kat,
The series was revised and Breaking is now book #4. It's available on Amazon and in a few days will come out in print, too. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for reading!
Happy holidays and stay well.

Hi Frank,
Sorry to be tardy in answering your question. I've been away from the internet of late.
Hmmm, if I had to recommend one, it would be #3, Badass is Back. The characters are the anchor couple of the series: Stephen and Jillian. They appear in nine out of the ten books. It's a second chance romance, sweet, sensual, and has a few subplots intertwined. And it has my favorite smart-mouth line that probably only tickles me, but I do laugh each time I read it.
What about you? What's your favorite book that you can recommend?
I read across genres, so hit me up.
Thank you so much for writing. I hope that answers your question and I look forward to your recommendation. Take care and happy trails!

Thank you for writing. Yep. I'm writing #7 in NaNoWriMo. A few new characters (Mia's dad and sister) and this story focuses on Brandon and Mia's marriage and the loss they experience. Rory and Sommer are the strong secondary characters (their new marriage and adjustment) as these two brothers work the horse breeding part of Evermore and are both newly weds!! The rest of the gang is there as always (adore this nosy loving family!).
News: There's a holiday story coming out for 2015 that includes the wedding of Cory and Brett. I just couldn't get to it this year and am so excited to think about her walking down the aisle on her daddy's arm. I do enjoy the imaginary shopping for the characters.
Well, that's all the news and it was great hearing from you.

Hi Mary,
Each is a stand alone, based on ties to the McLemore family from Texas. Twice Tempted is actually the first book, and focuses closely on the heroines, Cynthia 'Sam' and Carolina, two crazy cousins from Miami. The original story was written in NaNo but it grew and grew and each girl had her own story before too long. Tempted by Trouble was bought by Crimson Romance and features Carolina. From the start, she takes us over the edge into the land of hot cowboys when she meets her boss (Matt McLemore who is a college buddy of the groom) at Sam's wedding. So books 2 -6 are much hotter, and all are feature a hot cowboy from the McLemore clan. Book 1 is a secret baby trope and is bittersweet when Sam's mother passes away and she must decide how she will live her life.
I hope that answers your question. Thank you for writing!

Think sledgehammer. I had neurosurgery and lost the ability to teach. I exist in a bubble free of chemicals that most people aren't even aware exist, but thanks to surgical complications, I now do. Which means I don't venture out into the world as often as most people. Writing is my doorway.
I was not one of those people who have written romance since they were knee high. As a matter of fact, I never wrote anything besides prose. I have ADHD and dyslexia and you can imagine the difficulty of writing with this combo.
Yeah, when I announced, "I'm going to write" it was a funny reaction. Oh dear Lord, the silence in the room as my family looked at me as if I'd announced I was going to climb Hood Mountain.
Riiigghhtt!
I bet they were thinking it, but no one said anything other than, 'follow your dream.' And I did.

A paranormal romance in the series Rocky Mountain Shifters. This would actually be the first book of the series and involves the hero of Book 1, Shawn Barclay's sister. Her story precedes all the others and I finally found it in me to tell it. Dragon Heart.

Read the genre in which you write and outside that category as well. Good, bad, ugly. Read it all to get a feel for what you like and what doesn't resonate. You have to know who you are as a writer. And study. Writing isn't sitting down and pounding keys. That's data entry...far different.
Writing requires finesse, skill, and courage. And lastly, believe in your dream. If you want to write and you do the work required, you will write. You may not appeal to all readers, but that's not the point. Now is it?

The constant outlet for the stream of characters parading through my imagination. Before writing, I never realized how active my imagination truly was and writing is catharsis. But writing also acts as a germinating tool to inspire more imaginary flights into fantasy land.

Take a break and do something physical. Take an issue to the mat. The yoga mat that is. Doing sun or moon salutations, the rhythm and focus on the body position and breath are wonderful ways to release tension and help the mind stop churning. If all else fails, a hot shower works wonders and it's where many more than a few 'aha' moments occur.
