What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Susan Arden Read the genre in which you write and outside that category as well. Good, bad, ugly. Read it all to get a feel for what you like and what doesn't resonate. You have to know who you are as a writer. And study. Writing isn't sitting down and pounding keys. That's data entry...far different.

Writing requires finesse, skill, and courage. And lastly, believe in your dream. If you want to write and you do the work required, you will write. You may not appeal to all readers, but that's not the point. Now is it?
