I have no idea what I'll be working on after PMA, but I have a queued stack of ideas in my head, and a lot more Oberon stories are nestled in among them, probably being terrible neighbors.
Everyone's backstory is definitely part of that but I'm unsure if I'll go back to the beginning or do stories that follow HT first. George Lucas has ruined all of these things for everybody with a little help from Disney. (sigh)

At the moment I'm still working on 1/3 books that collectively make up . You can get ebook versions in many formats from Smashwords.com (watch Amazon/Goodreads boohoo and remove that---I dare y'all not to....) but they're the same ones available on Amazon.
A death in my family has upended....everything. Once again I think I'm missing my new-new-new goal of publishing World this year. Doing my best, dear.
There are a few odds and ends stashed at AO3 that don't exist as published novels (yet?) that you may not have found, though.

Hello, dear!
Yes, I threw a tantrum in a lot of caps, and someone finally helped me get a SINGLE instance of my name displayed. I am very grateful, though I honestly will never understand why people can't just fix your customer service issue in so many cases UNTIL you get all Spartacus at them, but I digress...
Assuming we're omitting religious texts: The Scarlet Gospels, ostensibly by Clive Barker though I have my doubts about the authorship.
I don't even know what to do with mine. I can't bring myself to destroy a book and it was a birthday gift, but I don't want to donate it because then MORE PEOPLE WILL READ that dumpster-fire-behind-a-liposuction-clinic.
For now it eats space it completely does not deserve in my bookshelf, and makes me sigh every time I see it sitting there.

I think when space allows my DH wants to do more physical collaging rather than digitally as he does now, and I'll offer the book up for cut-ups. The paper-making is a good idea, but the thing is: EVERYONE buys writers blank books and I have probably half a dozen around that I have yet to even write in, preferring plain old spiral notebooks. Let's see if he can make some worthwhile writing out of those poor wasted words. That would be supremely cathartic for both of us, since he felt terrible about having chosen that as my gift. Not his fault--I'd been looking forward to that book for over a decade.

I'm guessing Cloud and Sephiroth doesn't count? XD.
Cal and Pell from Storm Constantine's Wraeththu books, with a side order of Steve and Ghost (shut up, they're a couple because I said so) from several of Poppy Z. Brite's books.
If you like what I do, I highly recommend both authors.

Hello, dear! I'm glad you loved it. No one ever talks to me about that one, really, I can't decide whether no one reads it, no one likes it, or they're afraid to mention it in public...
I miss being in Sphere-space very much. Following a supervillain (two, now, really?) around and recording what happens is so much fun it should be and probably is illegal.
Right now I'm kneedeep in Psychomotor Agitation editing, and this entire year has been incredibly slow and unproductive overall.
I wish I could give you a definite answer but the best I can do is: eventually. I have several more books worth of stories about them in my head, some that happen after HT and some that happen before it, but I don't exactly get to choose what I write next. I kind of have to write whatever is willing to be written at any given time.

Well, I had to look up my own publication date (XD) and that's probably the shorter, rougher draft that you have there, dear. The final, published version (September 2013) has a little more film and a less abrupt ending.
If yours doesn't have "film" of the Solstice party, then it's definitely the shorter version.

"Not for Hitler or God himself. Only for me." That's the most important line in the entire book.
Semi-related: I'm currently considering seeing if anyone on ACX is willing to read Schadenfreude as an audiobook. I hear his voice so clearly in my head that it would take the PERFECT narrator to do it, someone either native or fluent in German or good enough at accents not to sound ridiculous (I don't want one for the text, just for the speech, and not a heavy one, but enough to capture what I hope is the "feel" I fought to achieve in the novel.)
And they'll have to be willing to do it for split profits, because I do NOT have money to pay them in advance.
So wish me luck on that, lol. I suspect I'll need it.

Dear 19:
Why thank you for asking, 19 dear, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT I DO TO IT, AND NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I ASK GOODREADS TO FIX IT, IT KEEPS GOING BACK TO THAT IDIOCY.
Love, 19
PS: Goodreads, this is my only way to try to make sure everyone knows it is YOU WHO IS BEING THE STUPID HERE, and not me. Does this shame you? GOOD. FIX IT. Gods, you started a page to feature authors (ARTISTS) and expected us to always and ONLY have CONVENTIONAL NAMES?
Are you NEW TO EARTH? And/or perhaps somehow unaware of what ARTISTS are like? Not great at coding? Or is it what it looks like no matter your reason: that you don't care?
Herp a few more derps, why don't you. UGH. This remains here and I will tell EVERYONE how retarded you are being until you fix this nonsense. Love, "19 19"
PSS: SM Johnson is my editor and she doesn't want fucking periods in her "first name" any more than I want OR NEED a last name, and you should respect that IN BOTH CASES. Herping this much derp is only cute for about four seconds. After that it's pathetic and looks like you don't understand your user base.
I mean, really? How dare you go around CORRECTING people's NAMES for them?
PSSS: OH FOR THE LOVE OF HELL. You may notice that in SOME places my name appears with a space now: 1 9. That is because it DID INDEED REVERT back to 19 19 yet again, and the 19. version is only staying "sometimes" AND THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
Dear Goodreads programmers: Did you know if you snort broken glass it makes you immune to cancer, irresistible to the gender(s) of your choice, and causes you to poop money? TRY IT!

This is almost certainly a gentle and dar(l)ing sleeve-tug about Psychomotor Agitation: A Vivisection, isn't it?
I have drastically underestimated how much work this manuscript needs, and drastically overestimated my productivity and LUCK in the past year.
Short answer: no, honey, I'm very sorry, but I cannot predict or promise anything on Valentine's Day in 2016, no matter how intensely I wish I could. I would rather give you nothing than something clumsy and rushed and with money/sales/etc as the goal.
Those are lovely things, but I want much, much more than those lovely things.
PMA as it stands is almost a quarter of a million words long and I expect possibly as much as 50-100k more is needed, and THEN I still get to edit, correct, and polish that much book.
To put that into perspective, Hero's Torch (my longest at the moment) is 90k words long, and it reached that length from 60ish in SECOND draft. PMA is currently a first draft. This is Stephen King's IT, sort of, no arrogance or comparison beyond scope intended.
It's vast.
Keep in mind how mad you were to be assigned a 2000 word essay in school, and you will begin to see what I am facing.
I want to do this as well as I CAN do this. My beloved David deserves at least that much--and so do all of you, and frankly so do I.
Why do anything if you're going to half-ass it?
I am working as fast as I can. That is not very fast, but that is how fast it can go. I wish I could give you more immediate gratification, but I would rather overall make you grouchy in the short term and very (happy? lol) in the long term.
As much as I want this done quickly, I want this done RIGHT more than I want it done fast. So, honestly, do you, despite what your nerve endings are telling you.
This is sex, beloved dear: Do you want it quick and careless, or slower and more skilled? Anyone (with rudimentary skills anyway) can get you off......but how many have given you that orgasm you still stare into space and grin about years later?
I will do everything in my power to make sure this is worth your wait.

Hello, dear. I'm delighted you're interested in featuring Schadenfreude as a group read, though as in my answer to B.E.L.L.A.Mc I'm a little concerned that readers be aware this is NOT BDSM in the generally understood sense of that term.
I'll see if I can manage to join the group, I'd be happy to talk about the story once you dears have a chance to read it.

Thank you, dear. I'm very glad you're finding it worthwhile.
Kaltherzig is fictional, influenced by a few people I know in real life, with much of their consciences excised. His name, "eagle" and "coldhearted" refers to the Nazi party itself. For Erich, he IS the Third Reich. He's not based on any actual SS doctor, though of course Mengele and Claub (I think I changed Claub's name for some reason) were quite real and employed in Block 10.
I'm delighted a group is considering Schadenfreude, but a little wary that this book is NOT in any way related to what anyone currently uses BDSM to mean. There is nothing in this book that is safe, sane, or consensual.

Any purists who somehow are hung on those trees in THIS forest are welcome to ask for a refund, lol. To be absolutely frank, after this long and after reformatting this for the alternate artwork edition, I am sick unto death of looking at this manuscript. I appreciate the nudge towards the issue, but I am not going to slice open my stitches and do surgery on every single version of this novel to fix that. However, I will, when the future inevitably requires it, simply delete the "eight" you refer to and have Erich think of that kiss as "years ago" and.......problem solved.
