I explained that wrong, I think. One narrator who can give the spoken dialogue faint German edges. Frank Mueller would have been PERFECT, but even if I could afford him or get his attention he has the annoying habit of being no longer living.
Part of why I haven't pursued this is Amazon is made of herpderp stupid and the audio must be EXACTLY LIKE THE WRITTEN BOOK down to every last detail, solely because of their stupid WhisperSync nonsense that nobody would ever care about ever, so that you can stop the audioversion and go to the Kindle version and it will automagically put you at the same place where you left off. Yes, because THIS useless feature is certainly worth hobbling authors and narration artists, you drooling imbeciles. (sigh) REALLY? Also there are some questions about sound quality and you are VERY locked into them owning the audio version for years. However, there's really little chance there would ever BE an audio version otherwise.
What I might do is give this a try with Kingdom, it's a little less terrifying and no one is reading that one anyway (XD) but the problem there is that no one is reading that one anyway, and getting a narrator to agree to do that much work solely for half the future profits in that situation may prove to be very difficult.
And as twisted as it is, I think that's the first point where we realize that Kaltherzig LOVES Erich.

I looked at ACX last year, only in passing to file away as a future option. Can't offer any advice personally Best of luck *hugs*
So you want a unique narrator for the text (Erich's internal voice) and a separate voice for Ahren. What about the other dialogue - keep in Erich's "voice"? I think that would be brilliant. Might take a little rewriting, more scripted so as not to confuse a listener then, but brilliantly in keeping with the whole feel. It's a story for only 2 voices after all.
I'm only fuzzily remembering something about Germanic accents...a high and low accent er something or other. You'd want both to be the correct tongue. A wonderful challenge that I hope you take on. Perhaps a perfect 'vacay' from PMA's depths :)
