Paula Brackston Hi Anna, I am indeed working on the first book of a new series. I should have the publication date for you soon. No plans for another Found Things book just yet.
Paula Brackston Hi Kaye, sorry to have missed your message.
I am delighted to hear you enjoyed the Found Things series. A fifth book is not in my schedule at the moment, but maybe in the future.... You have some nice ideas there!
Meanwhile I hope you will enjoy my new series as much. First book should be out next year. Please keep an eye on here, my website, or facebook page for updates.
Paula Brackston Hi Hollie, I'm sorry to be slow, these questions seem to hide from me. I hope you have found the answer to your question either on my website of facebook page by now. In case you haven't, all the other witch books are standalone stories. However, book four of the Found Things series, City of Time and Magic, is a crossover, where characters from The Return of the Witch reappear. Hope that helps!
Paula Brackston Hi, lovely to hear from a Gretel fan! Sadly, The Princess and The Pinot Grigio is not on my writing schedule at the moment. Hopefully it will get its chance one day. I'd quite like to find out what happens too!

Paula Brackston Hi Donna, book four in the series, City of Time and Magic, is due out in November.
Paula Brackston Hi Anna, that one comes out in November (see above!).
Paula Brackston Hi Jennifer, not exactly! However, book four in the Found Things series is a crossover story. There you will find characters from The Return of the Witch. It's called City of Time and Magic and is due out in November. To get the most out of it, you'd need to read the first three books in the series, starting with The Little Shop of Found Things.
Paula Brackston Hi Anna, well, that's a tricky one. Most of Elizabeth's magic was innate, as she had always been able to do certain things. Then she learned her hedgewitch craft from her mother. But of course, her immortality, and some of the power that went with it, came from Gideon. And he drew upon the very darkest of sources. Hope that helps!
Paula Brackston Hi Marilia, that's an interesting question. I think it was when I kept getting my novels rejected by publishers. I came to the realisation that even if I never got a book published, I would still write. That was when I felt like a writer. And that was when I got a contract to publish my first novel!
Paula Brackston Hi Lynn, always delighted to hear from a Gretel fan! I do love writing her adventures, but the schedule does not allow for another one at the moment. However, I would dearly like to follow her and Hans through a vineyard, so if I can fit it in one day, I will!
Paula Brackston Thanks, Barbara. I will pass it on to my publisher. You might want to delete your message now, rather than have your address forever on a public forum.
Paula Brackston Eek! I'm so sorry to hear that, Barbara. There was a batch of books that were misprinted a while back. We did what we could to call them all back in, but some slipped through. If you use the messages on here to send me your address I can have a copy shipped to you.
Best wishes,
Paula
Paula Brackston Hi Anna, I'm taking a wild guess that you want to know Tilda's age? She is in her twenties. Does that help?
Paula Brackston Hi LeAnn, thanks for your question. The third book in the Found Things series, The Garden of Promises and Lies, is due out in November. Happy reading!
Paula Brackston Hi Jenny, yes I spent a night at Great Chalfield. They offer bed and breakfast there, so you could go too! It is such a beautiful and atmospheric place. It really helped me with writing the story to spend some time there, and the owners answered so many questions. I tried to stick to the truth of the history of the building, particularly as it had been added to a great deal over the centuries. In fact, that was what gave me the idea of having Samuel help with improvements for the house. And there is a beautifully carved screen in the great hall. If you ever get a chance to go and see the place I recommend it.
Paula Brackston Hi Leslie, sorry I didn't spot your question sooner. Goodreads likes to hide them! I am pretty much always researching, so it's hard to say how long it takes for each book. Even when I'm working on a first draft, I am still reading helpful books, researching on the internet, and watching movies set in the appropriate time. With the Found Things series I also feel the need to visit lots of antiques shops and markets, which is tough work indeed! The idea really came out of my enjoying doing that in the first place. I love finding unusual items and wondering what their history is. I also love the idea of stepping back in time, so...
Paula Brackston Maybe one day, Joni. Would be fun to find out what Tilda did next.
