I just finished The Secrets of the Chocolate House and loved it!! I can’t wait until book 3. How long does it take you to research the history prior to writing your stories? What was it that made you create the found things series??

Paula Brackston Hi Leslie, sorry I didn't spot your question sooner. Goodreads likes to hide them! I am pretty much always researching, so it's hard to say how long it takes for each book. Even when I'm working on a first draft, I am still reading helpful books, researching on the internet, and watching movies set in the appropriate time. With the Found Things series I also feel the need to visit lots of antiques shops and markets, which is tough work indeed! The idea really came out of my enjoying doing that in the first place. I love finding unusual items and wondering what their history is. I also love the idea of stepping back in time, so...
