Hi Marilia, that's an interesting question. I think it was when I kept getting my novels rejected by publishers. I came to the realisation that even if I never got a book published, I would still write. That was when I felt like a writer. And that was when I got a contract to publish my first novel!

Do you ever feel like you have to hold back with a character, not give into every characteristic of good or evil that you feel would suit the character because you need to have something left for future characters? Gideon jumps out to me when I think of this question.

Hi Paula! I just finished the Silver Witch and wanted to let you know that as a person with albinism, I was ecstatic with the way you portrayed Tilda and Seren. It's very hard to find books that don't have people with albinism as evil characters, so I am incredibly grateful for you portraying albinism accurately and in a positive light. Where did you learn about albinism and what it's like to have albinism?
