Snake-Eater by T. Kingfisher
"Like many other books I’ve enjoyed by T Kingfisher, this mixes friendship, horror, and comedy. Loved the found family and self discovery themes. If you’re already a fan, I don’t have to sell you. This one does all the things you love in her work. And" Read more of this review »

Jordan Sonnenblick
“It's amazing--my parents call everything a discussion. If I were standing across the street, firing a bazooka at my mother, while my father was launching mortar back at me, and Jeffery was charging down the driveway with a grenade in his teeth, my parents would say we should stop having this public "discussion".”
Jordan Sonnenblick, Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie

Gregory Maguire
“People who claim that they're evil are usually no worse than the rest of us... It's people who claim that they're good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of.”
Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

Richard Wright
“I would hurl words into this darkness and wait for an echo, and if an echo sounded, no matter how faintly, I would send other words to tell, to march, to fight, to create a sense of the hunger for life that gnaws in us all.”
Richard Wright, Black Boy

Jasper Fforde
“Whereas story is processed in the mind in a straightforward manner, poetry bypasses rational thought and goes straight to the limbic system and lights it up like a brushfire. It's the crack cocaine of the literary world.”
Jasper Fforde, First Among Sequels

Jasper Fforde
“Take no heed of her.... She reads a lot of books.”
Jasper Fforde, The Eyre Affair
