A. Claire Everward is a suspense author with a love of knowledge and a lively imagination that made writing the natural thing for her to do.

Claire is also the author of the Oracle suspense series and Blackwell series and is currently working on the next two books in the Oracle series with the help of her two hyperactive cats and a laptop named Stanley Jr.

Transitions are interesting. In my opinion, they are also a must.

Thirty-eight weeks after the first day of the second new year

The last two posts were A Word by Claire, but this one isn’t. I don’t expect there will be such a post every week. As you might have noticed, I choose to write A Word by Claire post for the same reason I choose at times to post a short saying on Wednesdays instead of an Author Terminology: because Read more of this blog post »

I’ve always loved period novels, and this one was no exception. In fact, it sent me straight down a rabbit hole to look up Jeanne Barret—a woman who quite literally did the impossible, and yet remains so little known. And why is that? Because she was ...more

This isn’t an easy book to read—and it isn’t meant to be. It’s the kind of book that, difficult as it is, should be read by girls and parents alike. Because there is simply no place for blaming or victimising survivors. What’s needed instead is aware ...more

Excellently written! I grew up watching westerns when everything still felt wonderfully naïve, and I’ll admit—this book hooked me right in and made it genuinely fun to read.

It’s authentic, powerful, and thoroughly entertaining. The storytelling, the

“Yes, Camp Vrede.” It was one of the deadliest incidents in the alliance’s fight for peace. The large base was located near the Kuwait, Iraq and Saudi Arabia tri-border, its presence there sanctioned by the three countries, which welcomed its assistance in maintaining the area’s stability. The attack, by insurgents who opposed the alliance’s presence in the region, came in the middle of a heavy desert storm, and the number of dead and injured was high. Donovan remembered the incident clearly, USFID had been one of the agencies put on alert following it. “The United States lost people there, too,” he said. “Fifty-nine were killed there that day.”
A. Claire Everward, Oracle's Diplomacy

“Could a signal jammer have been used?” The man asking was Admiral James Helios, head of IDSD United States. It was the recent Oracle incident involving his IDSD branch that had brought to their attention the existence, in the hands of the wrong people, of a sophisticated type of jammers one of the applications of which was to conceal the flight path of an aircraft. “No, sir, we don’t believe so. We don’t know much yet about that jammer I’m assuming you’re referring to, how it works, but I believe a jammer would have caused a different type of interference, not what we’re seeing here.”
