“Most days, the sun rises just fine without me doing that.”

“It required encouragement today?”

“No. But they do.” He nodded his head towards the others. “They’re not stupid. Even if that Ryddau lied and it’s half the number he claimed, we’re still in deep shit. We rely on the men of Argon. An unknown quantity of unknown quality. I don’t think a little sunshine is going to help.”, he sighed. “…but maybe I’m wrong!”

“You, wrong? Has that ever happened before?”, Octavia replied in pretend disbelief.
