Ok, Xander did not ruin the neighboorhood but he is a yellow lantern. So I guess my instinct was right in suspecting that he is the bad guy.

why does he dream of yellow lantern versions of him attacking him? He barely knows what that is, so why is this here? It is not explained either.

so it was the bullies from school who threw the bricks? And odd, the white guys throw and the black kid just drives. Beforehand he was also only a bystander. Considered the bad and boring writing before, I start to wonder here. What is next, that Xander Griffin is a bad guy who increases the crime in the area? I hope not.

The kid's grandmother was a particular thorn in Sinestro's side? Since when? Considering that Hal Jordan isn't in the flashback but Jon Stewart is, I bet she never appeared before. Wouldn't it have made more sense to give her her own bad guys or say she was mostly in space or so?

Wouldn't it be more likely after the war? and if she had the ring back then already, why not use it to end the war or something? but the comic seems to be uninterested in that. And if she had been a lantern for so long and mentored john stewart, why did she never appear before?

I know this is the DC universe, but isn't he way to calm when his grandmother's ring comes to life and drags him across the house?

I get it. They want to make Tai's grandmother portray as some good pillar of the community, but are these vietnamese boat people or how and why did they come to the USA?
