I KNEW HE WAS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! I keep telling myself this book to "not trust the white man" AND I WAS FUCKING RIGHT!!!

I'm sad now again :(
I really hope that Sel and Bree can still be friends bc they're such a great duo of partners in crime :)

I'm currently racing against time before my digital library loan is due and automatically returned ;-;

I truly appreciate how unapologetic Tracy Deonn is with the discussion of race and colonization. I was crying so hard throughout the chapter "Root" because it was so impactful on the ways people of color, more specifically black people, have used spirituality to heal from generational traumas. This means so much to me as a non-black person of color who learning and working on their ancestral work.
