I need Liz to tell Amanda about the scolarship. I understand that she's scared, but this feels a lot more like playing into that exhausting trope of forcing misunderstandings and lack of communication to create conflict. Amanda will definitely understand, she would have from the start. And it's so unnecessary! There's plenty going on in the book already and I'm enjoying it a lot! Just let them face things together!
