Throughout the book, there are several times I wish I could’ve talked to the characters. I would tell Auggie that no matter what you look like, you will find people that care about you. I’d say this because he finds out the bad way that he has fake friends, leaving him hopeless.

In wonder, it is not acceptable to judge someone based off of their appearance (Auggie has a condition that affects the growth of facial tissue and has been bullied because of it. It’s acceptable to not adjust to something right away. For example in the first couple chapters, Auggie starts public school for the first time and it is hard for him. He eventually adapts to it by meeting new people and making new friends.

Wonder is a realistic fiction book. I know this because many realistic things and events are in the book one being how Augie is a normal fifth grader starting public school, which is very realistic and normal. Later into the story his dog Daisy dies and things like that happen all the time in real life. It wouldn’t make sense if the book was any other type of genre, so that’s why wonder is a realistic fiction book.

In the book I’m reading, the archetype that is being represented is the forest archetype. I know this because the main character, Augie, goes on a camping trip with his school. The forest represents unusual and possibly dangerous grounds.
