All right, people--it's time to toot your own horn (and no, that's not a self-pleasure euphemism...for once, anyway). I want to see your very best/most favorite reviews that you've written--drop links into them below, eh?

Jayson Hmm, I can't say I have favorite reviews, or even ones I'm especially proud of, but I am fond of my alliterative reviews, of which I've written four so far:

The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan
The Demigod Files by Rick Riordan
Aquaman, Volume 3: Throne of Atlantis by Geoff Johns
Tokyo Ghost by Rick Remender

Diana I tend to write reviews only for those books that evoked a really strong response. I know, I'm lazy. It just reminds me too much of having to write book reports. Anyway, I didn't have to look too far for my favorite: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Sean Gibson Loving those reviews, peeps! Amazing stuff...I love how thoughtful, articulate, and funny people are on here. I also love how Trish is all, "Oh, I'm not that good at writing reviews" and then is all BAM--here are 814 links to really good reviews. :)

No, those are the reviews of books that were highlights. It wasn't about my reviews as I truly have no idea. *lol*

Ran Ah, we don't all have your meandrous talent of connecting two seemingly (vastly) different subjects in a review, Sean! I enjoy reading your creative reviews. Be it tooting my own horn, I think I summarize nonfiction well.

Race and Reunion by David W. Blight
Dark Work by Christy Clark-Pujara
Race Over Empire by Eric T. L. Love

Sean Gibson Awesome stuff, Mike and Ran!

As for my ability to connect seemingly disparate subjects, Ran...just because I mention Meat Loaf (the singer, not the food) and suitcases in the same review doesn't mean I'm actually connecting them, you know.

Umaiya ❄️Ramblings of a Scattered Mind❄️ Oooh this sounds super fun! I wanna do this too! :D

Maria My best/most favourite reviews? That is a good question. And I really had to dig in through my reviews to find these more decent ones:

Short review for a short story but it really had an emotional impact on me -https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This was a fun reflection exercise - thanks for this, Sean!

message 18: by Sean (new)

Sean Gibson Fantastic reviews, Maria--I love them! Thanks for sharing!

(I'll note, however, that my favorite review of yours is this one: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... For obvious reasons. :))

Matthew Here are some of my favorite:

The Vegetarian -https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Magician: Apprentice - A fantasy Book all fantasy fans should read - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The Awakening - the backstory of my adventures with this book is better than the book! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

message 22: by Sean (new)

As I say at the end of the review, you just can't make that stuff up! :)

message 24: by Misty (new)

Misty Sean, my reviews pale in comparison to the pieces of literature you post (disguised as reviews).

This one is a favorite because, seriously, I can’t believe this guy actually got published:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

And this one, because....yeah, same reasons:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

And finally, this one, ‘cause it was fun to write:

Haha! Those are awesome, Misty!

(And it's required that you put quote marks around "literature" whenever you refer to my writing, whether my books or reviews. We'd also accept putting them around "books" and "writing.")
