If burning so many Japanese cities to the ground wasn't enough for Truman to consider Pearl Harbor avenged I would say he is a very dark and troubled, if not outright evil, character.

Now we are getting to the new stuff. This "game of chess" between Stalin and Truman is very interesting. Sadly a story we will probably never get a movie about, one of the oh so many. *sigh*

It took a bit to get back to the heart of the issue again, with the short personal stories and all, and it is bad in my mind that this book has no bibliography and no real notes, but it seems to be back on track again.
