Wow! So many things (that weren't connected) happenned in ONE day. First Firguson almost drops a boulder on Linnet. Then Richetti (a serial killer) gets a coded message about some weapons. Then Jackie shoots Simon. Then Simon murders Linnet. Then Tim replaces Her necklace with a fake one. Then Mrs. Ottorborne takes the fake necklase - not knowing that it's fake. And finally two others are shot by Jackie.

At the beginning when Jackie said that she wished she could just put her gun at Linnet's head and pull the trigger. I thought maybe she wished that because she was planning a murder but wasn't the one who gets to pull the trigger. And she was planning a murder. However she was horrified by the thought of killing Linnet in her sleep so she let Simon do it instead.

I felt that somthing was weird about Simon staying in the saloon on the night Linnet died. Linnet had already left, but he refused to follow. I knew that either he planned with Linnet to stay or he planned something with Jackie for him to stay. And I was right; Jackie was supposed to 'shoot' him so he can uld murder Linnet.

Before I already said that Tim was suspicious for not liking Poirot; it could've bean because he was going to murder someone. Then he said that he was at a place when a necklace was stolen. Then when Linnet's necklace was stolen I suspected him. And he did steal it. Perhaps he used the nail polish to create the false necklace.

There is something fishy about Mr. Pennington. First, there was the scene at the beginning of the book. He was talking to someone else about him going to Egypt to meet Linnet. Then when he got there there was the story about him not knowing that Linnet was there. That seemed odd. I knew that wasn't true and I immediately suspected him of being the murderer.

Just like I predicted Ms Otterborne was shot right before she revealed who the murderer was. However I don't understand how she was shot from such a close distance without anyone seeing at least a part of his/her body. It is very risky to do that.

Every time Poirot has an idea, he doesn't share it. Whether it is because he doesn't trust the person he is speaking to or he the person simply doesn't ask, the result is the same. This makes the book much more interesting with more mystery

Mr. _____________ tried to find the gun under the table but it wasn't there anymore. There's quite a high chance, however, that he was the one who took the gun when he went to check. This is like what happened with Dr. Sheppard.

Poirot is very full of himself.
"'I am not a middle man. I am a top man,' declared Hercule Poirot with sloght arrogance.
'What are you?'
'I am a detective,' said Hercule Poirot with the modest air of one who says 'I am a king.'"
He thinks that he is a big shot and always says good things about himself.
