40 minutes:
Great ending. REALLY, REALLY good ending. This is possibly one of my favorite books I've ever read. I'm amazed by the twists and turns in plot, the character development, and even the occasional humor. Great book.

120 minutes:
WOW! Very sad. I can't believe that, out of all the people, it was Matthias who died. Quite a sad ending, not like the usual "happily ever after".

45 minutes:
I knew it! I had a feeling the plan would go completely wrong. Every single one of them is screwed. Now of course, now that we think they are all dead, they will come back at Van Eck and Pekka Rollings twice as hard.

25 minutes:
Yes, Nina is definitely not a Heartrender anymore. Based on what she did in the bar, controlling bone shards... That's not something a Heartrender can do. I wonder what's happened to her. Controlling bones and controlling dust is not exactly within the normal powers of any Grisha, not just a Heartrender.

40 minutes:
Kaz and the others are planning the attack and everything seems so perfect. Knowing what the author will do, they will probably get into some deep trouble now. Probably the Shu will attack the Grisha ship. Or maybe something will happen to Inej and she won't be able to drop the weevil.

35 minutes:
Once again, great plot twists. The moment you think, "Okay, Kaz managed to get away with Inej, now eevryone is safe" suddenly there are explosions and huge winged monsters flying all over the place. It's stunning how the author can think of these things.

35 minutes:
I think Nina has somehow become a Fabrikator. She cannot feel people's pulses anymore, cannot control their heartbeat. She even finds it hard to tailor someone. But she managed to do something that only a "skilled Fabrikator" could do. I wonder what happened to her.

60 minutes:
That was completely unexpected, the way Kaz tricked Van Eck. He always gets away with what he does, always tricks his enemies. The author has a great imagination to think of all of this.

60 minutes:
WOW! So many plot twists! The moment you think they have a chance of surviving, something horrible happens. Then when you think that they are going to die for sure something great happens. Wow! This is really cool.

40 minutes:
I wonder how Nina and Matthias will manage to kill Bo Yul-Bayur. They too know that you can't lie to Kaz. Kaz will find out, maybe even before they do it. And besides if they did succeed, the other wouldn't get their money and the book wouldn't have a happy ending.

50 minutes:
I never would have expected this to be the reason for Nina to betray Matthias. I wasn't sure what it could be, but I never thought about this. I guess Nina was doing it for their good after all, however maybe the author could have made it different, more interesting.

35 minutes:
I don't know why Nina imprisoned Matthias. She obviously regretted it right after. They loved each other. And although Matthias was a killer, he seemed to have stopped being a Druskkel, at least for the time being.

35 minutes:
The characters in this book are very cool. Each one has their own hidden past that they don't discus. Slowly, bit by bit, they reveal their identities. Although they haven't revealed even enough for me to start guessing their backgrounds, I can see where it will be heading. Quite cool.

20 minutes:
The gang is, of course, on the protagonist's side, and makes you feel like they are doing the right thing, etc. However the leader is quite violent and merciful. I'm not sure what will happen later in the book -- will the protagonist leave him because of some things he is doing?

35 minutes:
The beginning is really good and immediately pulls you in. The first chapter ends in a great way and makes you want to read more. Although the second chapter is not related to the first, it has action and will keep pulling you on.

40 minutes:
I'm kind of disappointed with the ending. There really is no ending. It doesn't seem like one, at least. Nothing was accomplished. Cops are still chasing Zaphod. Zaphod still hasn't figured out what the former president told him. The four are back in the space ship, with no goal to achieve. Marvin is still a depressed robot. Nothing was achieved at ALL.

30 minutes:
I like how the author always postpones the Answer and it keeps making you think "I want to know!" and finally the rats just give up on it, so you'll never know what it is.

40 minutes:
It's really funny how the author describes humans as third smartest on Earth (instead of, what most people believe, second smartest). He describes why dolphins and rats are smarter. It's really great. There is starting to be more action and a bit of mystery.

30 minutes:
The book is starting to become a little boring. At the beginning there was great humor and some action. Now there is little humor (that I understand) and no action at all. They are pretty much just flying in the space ship doing unimportant things..

35 minutes:
This book reminds me a bit of the Foundation Trilogy, especially the first two books. In Foundation, the main character would be in enemy territory because of something, and would have to bargain use his brain to escape while also getting what he came for. In the last few pages of this book, Ford and Arthur have been doing similar things -- except that they fail every time.

This book is SO funny! Out of all the books that I've read, this one has the most humor. More than Magnus Chase even. On almost every page there is something that makes me laugh. The book is really amazing.

35 minutes:
I love how the author intentionally repeats the seen where Arthur wakes up to find yellow bulldozers that have come to demolish his house, but on a huge scale. Its really funny and really cool, how every single detail is prety much the same. He even added the fact that, instead of the plans being in the basement of the city council, the plans for Earth's demolishing are in Alpha Centauri.

20 minutes:
WOOOW! Just the beginning is so good! The first two sentences -- not only is it hilarious, but it hooks the reader so well. And all the time, there is humor, and it keeps pulling the reader further.

6 hours:
For the first time, people are starting to think differently. They have stopped focusing on wars and land, and instead are focusing more on science, religion, and how we should view the world. They brought up the idea that men and women are equal. They are starting to have democracy. They are starting to follow science more than ideas from the bible. It is very interesting to see this rapid change.

25 minutes:
Wow! What a great twist at the end. The whole time you are looking at Wolff as a powerful, scary man... Until the end, where he ends almost killing himself accidentally. And it's very cool how Sig uses all these things from the past to survive. I really like that.

20 minutes:
I don't understand why Wolff would follow Einar for 10 years, just for some gold. It wasn't even a lot. Sig said it was 'a small fortune of gold' -- just enough to buy a part of the mining company and get sort of rich. That's not worth 10 years chasing someone. In my bookclub, we thought that there is something else he wants. Something more meaningful than gold. But no, gold was the thing he was chasing.

20 minutes:
Wolff didn't actually say that he killed Maria, but he said something about not thinking about the snow that fell yesterday (when Anna brought up Maria). But I don't understand why he killed her. He even said that Einar had such a beautiful wife. He was probably in love with her, and jealous of Einar. That's not a good reason to shoot her... but Wolff is crazy. He probably was angry and wasn't thinking.

25 minutes:
Earlier I predicted that Einar was rushing to get to the house because he somehow knew that Wolff was coming. He risked the shortcut (the frozen lake), but wasn't very lucky. I was right. Einar probably saw Wolff, and took all his belongings from his office. He was hurrying to get to Sig, Anna, and Nadya -- and run away with them.

40 minutes:
I think that the reason why Einar kept saying "Even the dead tell stories" was because he knew that some day he would be killed. He wanted Sig and Anna to realize that there was a story behind why he died. And he wanted them to solve it. This is very cool , but scary at the same time. He knew that he would die, but wanted to make the best out of it.
