idk why the hell this indigenous alt history was written by an englishman, but i am certainly enjoying it. idk if in the end i'll think it's at all comparable to chabon's yiddish policeman's union, but if i had to pick a comp title that's all i can come up with at this point.

You had me interested before but this comparison really pulls me in. Loved that book.

It's really good. My memory of the Chabon book is too faded to make an off the cuff comparison of either plot or style, but there are definitely some similarities in premise, and the writing is excellent.
