some quibbles with the ending if i'm honest, but fantastic

idk why the hell this indigenous alt history was written by an englishman, but i am certainly enjoying it. idk if in the end i'll think it's at all comparable to chabon's yiddish policeman's union, but if i had to pick a comp title that's all i can come up with at this point.

this is a library book and I already want to buy a copy. didn't get to read much today, hopefully tomorrow goes better

to early to say much about the big picture, but at in all the little ways this is about 100x better than the jess kidd book
