Thank goodness Dumas is is in charge of the plot, else half his good characters would be under arrest for blabbing so much about the exact mechaniations of the murder and mayem around them to the persons most capable of bringing the law down on their heads.

Much as I love the anime, it did Mercédès dirty.

This was certainly one of Dumas' less inspired weeks.

'Ah, you have a noble heart!' said the count; 'so much the better.'

There's no way in hell my younger self engaged with this well enough to legitimately merit four stars, but I won't begrudge him an A for effort.

First reread for the first time in a long while, and it's a doozy.
