I am pleasantly surprised by this book. I'm not going to lie this is my first King novel because I thought he was overrated. I was wrong he deserves the praise.

I adore White and his witty mysteries but as with "The Wife and The Widow", White takes too many liberties using words that have no business being in a straight white mans mouth, or at the end of his pen, period.

I find this novel quite delightful so far, but some of the major plot points feel slightly derivative. The light wafting of sweet honey carried by the gentle breeze of "The Starless Sea"; subtle, lying softly beneath the text.

A unique and beautiful story, chalk full of illustrative writing that creates a fully immersive experience. Unfortunately this wonderful story suffers from under editing, which is a shame because the errors distract me from the narrative.
