This is a reread and honestly, this might be the first time I enjoy a reread as much as I did the first time I read it.

Rereading this along with the new Webtoon translation because I want to compare them both.

Also, falling in love with YuYang again because he is awesome.

I'm going to finish this in January because I need it to count towards my next year's StoryGraph reading challenge.

(How many times do I need to say 'StoryGraph' or talk about it being better for goodreads to kick me out? Would it kick me out? Or is it complacent in it's inferiority.)

I just wanted to make an update for this one because the first time I cried reading it was during Haru's backstory. My boy deserves better.

So I've only read one chapter so far, but I have thoughts:

Damn, I thought chapter 1 was difficult; Chapter 2 nearly killed me. But the writing was still easier than the previous chapter. And I liked the transformative-generative rules.

Would it count towards my reading goal if the only pages I read in a day are from my study textbook?

It is currently 05:08 am. I've been up all night. I have trying to read more of this book but all my brain is registering is that Antonio, Sir Toby and Malvolio all sound way too fruity. Like, they all use so much stuff that sounds like Gen Z fruity slang. It's messing with my mind. Malvolio said "Go off." to mean go away, but I just snapped my fingers and said, Yas queen! I'm going to do something else for a bit...

......I'm crying. I hate this scene because of course I do. It's....so sad. But I also love this scene, it feels so right. Neil, full of life, bursting with energy; at the brink now but no one knew.

As cute as it is to write a poem for your crush and read it aloud to them in public, showing that you don't care what people say; I would... advise doing it to someone who doesn't already have a boyfriend that threatened to kill you if he saw you. And preferably, don't do it in public after the girl tells you to stop following her and bugging her, seeing as she's clearly embarrassed by the scene you've created.

As much as I love Keating, I'm not sure I appreciate him "preparing the students for college girls" by having them do a test while a sexy slideshow of pictures of women/college-level girls was played on a projector. It just feels...odd. (maybe because it feels like people are right to have strict and unfair dress codes in school because apparently, just the existence of a girl is enough to make a man an animal.)

him a rigid religious upbringing. Works every time.”

I can attest to that.

This scene hurts me so much(not as much as the last one but still...) He's an idiot, but I really love him.

Charlie can be such an annoying little bitch sometimes, but I still love him. He's young and he'll do better~ (That said, I'm very happy he got blueballed)

As much as I hate Cameron and love Charlie, I must admit, Cameron was right this time (unfortunately). Charlie had no right to do something that would put them all in danger without asking them about it first. I understand wanting to rebel and feel like you're making independent choices but that shouldn't come at the expense of your friends' academics and reputations.

If you had to make a character whose main feature is that they're aloof and cynical, what major would you give them?

I know everyone likes talking about Todd and Neil, but if Charlie and Meeks don't end up becoming lifelong friends or more, I'm going to sob. I love them so much and I think they're perfect for each other. Chaos and Calmness, Book-smart and Street-smart, Witty and Nerdy, Confident and Awkward. They'd be perfect as a pair of whatever they wanna be.

I love Meeks so much!!! I would give anything for his happiness. (I love Neil too but please don't talk to me about him, all I can do then is cry.)

I wasn't supposed to like this but unfortunately I'm enjoying it because of Niko. He sounds incredibly cute and I'm kind of reading the book just for him. He is my psychic bby (who's older than me but shut up) and sages your room to remove (potentially malicious) frog ghosts and he's adorable and he's sweet and I love him.

(Q: Is it wrong to have a book boyfriend if they're already dating someone from the start?)

Okay, I'm okay now. We're in Keating's class. Everything will be okay now. (for a bit.)

I'm literally only on page 15 and I already feel like crying and killing Neil's father.

You know... Thus is another case of when the more you grow the more you see the things you don't like in books you previously enjoyed. And.one of the reasons that I don't like classics is because I enjoy the minds and opinions of (most) characters in contemporary books so much more. Since they're relatable (obviously).

This is to say I don't like Orsino's thoughts about women.

Seriously thinking of dnfing this. Besides, one of the goals this year was to dnf more books.

While I'm reading this book all I'm thinking abt is how I would rate this, if I should dnf it becuz of how painfully mid it is and if I do choose to read it fully, should I buy a physical copy as a trophy??? Maybe add my annotations in it as well??? But then again, I've always wanted my bookshelves to only hold books that are dear to me. So many questions, not one related to the words on whichever page I'm on.
