Basso making moves, story feels like it's picking up

Interesting beginning. I definitely need to focus when I read this book as there seems to be a lot happening in between the lines of text that Parker lets you figure out on your own.

starting a reread of book 8 so that I can remember what happens into book 9 and finish off the series.

Hmm, Goddard, more than meets the eye? We shall see.

Interesting, a slight turn in events and now I think the story will really start cooking.

I knew the premise going in but a couple things happening that are really interesting. A couple early predictions written down, probably wrong but can't wait to find out.

A couple of big things happening to our Sunlit Man or Nomad. I don't want to spoil any of them here, but I could feel the "Sanderlanche" starting and it's in full swing right now so I'm curious as to how this gets resolved.

As before so many references to things that have happened before Sunlit Man, but have yet to happen in either Mistborn or Stormlight. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.

Through the first 8 stories, page count is estimated. I love this anthology/collection. Every story has me wanting more, which is a compliment to the content as well as the authors skill. Can't wait for more!

Stories 3 and 4 are absolute bangers. Both are 5 stars in my book. Story 4, I would read this whole novel or series if it was out there. Story 3, HC Newell, I need to check out her other works. So good!!

The Patchskin Woman (Cal Black) - Done - 4 stars; Not sure what to expect, but this is a great book to start this advent calendar storybook. I thought it was going to be overly dark, but it ended in a way that I appreciated.

Rite of the Tundra (Jim Wilbourne) - Done - 3.5 stars; Coming of age told succinctly. Unsure if builds into bigger series, but enjoyable.

So much Cosmere referencing, it's almost too much. Clearly referring to things not in books yet. Hopefully some answers are delivered here.
