Oh man, this book just threw shade on a well-known scene in Twilight. I was a Twinerd before, but I am laughing my guts out right now. xD It seems that I will love this book forever.

These blue teenagers (demigods?) just appeared out of the blue. :p

This is me every time a chapter is told from the Assassin's POV. :l

She had her kill marks exposed, and even they looked beautiful, not brutal. each line straight, all at even intervals.

Taken out of context, the latter passage is very problematic. This book is definitely not for everyone.

It's already been nine months since I've read The Kiss of Deception, but my hatred for the Assassin remains strong. These "barbarians" should give Lia a break after everything she's been through!

I'm glad that I watched the author's pronunciation guide video beforehand. Otherwise, I'd be having a hard time reading all of these weird names. :p
