I was t expecting to laugh this much

I just read the most amazing fighting scene Ive read in fantasy. Better than Tyrions trial by combat HOLY SHIT!

Finally everyone is at the same place. Now things begin to move.

Just finished part 2. Still unsure about what I like and what I don’t

Ok at this point I feel its dragging on purpose even when I see the world building its more regular high fantasy detailed world building and we still dont know much about the actual plot and its mysteries. Might change my mind who knows. The characters are very good thi and Im so fond of them.

I really love the characters but the universe still feels so big the story still feels far away. And that doesn’t make it bad but it makes me go slower.

Ok now this is starting !

Page 1000 has a magnificent battle. Its been a while since i read a 1000+ book I think the closest this year was like 800+ so this feels like an achievement!

I feel Im just watching someone else’s lives instead of reading because theres not a single storyline that drives the plot yet, it’s just the story of ppl in a country at war and world building. And it’s making me like the characters and fall in love with this part of the Cosmere. It has less quotes that hit me like Mistborn did but Im liking it.

In the middle of The Way of Kings. It feels like he wants you to feel the characters are your friends by giving you glimpses of their character development without moving the story or explaining how the story is moving. This can put off ppl who enjoy plot driven stories but its nice and dangerous for those who like world building because it sucks you in slowly.

I haven’t been this invested in everything about a book , characters, lore, writing style! Since The Fifth Season and The Daevabad trilogy which are my two favorite series of all time.

Cool claustrophobic sci-fi with hard science and linguistics. I’m into it.
