Arias > Recent Status Updates

So far it's not really grabbed me. A lot of set up, it feels like, and hopefully the wheels will start turning in the next couple of chapters

Still not getting the same sense of magic, but I'm enjoying Fermin's backstory, along with some illumination of the events of The Angel's Game. That said, part of what I enjoyed in The Angel's Game was how unsure I was as to what was real and what was "magical", so the veil is definitely lifted.

So far this isn't setting up to be the fantastical kind of story the previous 2 novels yet. Nearly halfway through and not particularly gripped, but I like Fermin as a character, so I'm interested to see what happens.
