Oh shit Gabriel’s coming over what’s gonna happen 👀 I like Gabriel he seems like he’d be a nice person

If I have to read “girls, boys; and those in-between” in this book one more time I am going to RIOT
As good as this book is you can tell that it was written by a straight cis woman

I really have no idea where this is going I just hope it’s good

I feel like something bad is going to happen to either James or Gabriel or maybe even Michael and I don’t like that I want a happy story

I genuinely don’t know where this book is going at all and honestly ,,,, I don’t mind it
Still not feeling too comfortable with a straight woman writing the f slur but I guess it makes sense for the book and the time period

Something feels wrong about reading a book written by a straight women that has the f-slur in it ,,,,,, I mean i know this book is about being gay in the 80s and people were probably called that all the time but still ,,,,

Okay um having a character named James is almost never a good sign let’s start with that I hope nothing happens to this James
I don’t really like the style it’s written in but it’s good so far I like it

Apparently this book wasn’t on my want to read list (unless I took it off?) so I have absolutely no idea what it’s about except that it’s lgbtq so ,,,,

At this point I’ve zoned out I don’t really know what’s happening anymore and frankly I don’t care to find out

There’s so much unnecessary detail it’s like a poorly written Tolkien story

I really just want to get this book done with I don’t care about Theo and Kitsey’s engagement party

Part of me is reading this just to stay ahead on my reading challenge while I try to finish the goldfinch and the other part of me is reading it because it’s one of the books from my Christmas book list and haven’t bothered to read yet so uh here’s to hoping it’s good
