Michael's timeline has some gaffes in it, and I'm not sure if they're intentional (in other sections he's unreliable, hilariously). First, he mentions someone wearing a G&R t-shirt well before they would have been appearing. next, watching Simpsons reruns several years before the show was syndicated.

ultimately only Michael's narration is credible but I'll allow it. for nw.

The diction is a bit of a problem. Too much of the voice is ornate, like it's got posterity in mind.

"that birthright of the American upper-middle class- their competitive optimism." This, I believe, is what Facebook weaponizes, curdling into contempt.

ok, Michael's letters are the funniest thing I've read in a while
