ive read two of BJ's books i feel sorry for her heroines. All they do is be self destructive. No sense of self presesrvation . Theres quite a derogatory homophobic vibe going on too . Just because a man lusts after the hero does not make him less of a man or king

Book is too long

It is terrible to read the cheating. Maybe it was socially acceptable in that society and time. Yet it is horrible to see the way he hurts his wife

Still loving it. The pain. The games for love. He wants her. He can’t have her. To protect her from hanging and punish her he will marry her off to his knight.

I think it’s time for me to accept that these stories don’t do it for me anymore. They just lack something which the ones written before used to have. There is no connection. No love. The characters are like robots. Perhaps this is what the young generation is. Soulless. Mechanical. I get no joy from reading the stories.
