I’m so irritated with both the characters. So shallow and stupid though they spout so much classical poetry.

The hero is unlikeable. So is the heroine.

Thinking of abandoning it. At around 50%. No plot development at all. Total stagnation.

loving it very classily written ... its not another formulaiic novel. God knows which Gods decide the booker prize list .This one definitely deserves some awards.

Read one chapter and finding it underwhelming. She’s gone with boyfriend to his family home. The elder brother is shameless. Almost like harassment. Bit boring. Did not like the character of the hero (elder brother)

Am re-reading. She builds up the atmosphere so well. The hero and heroine are wonderful. Human. There is that forbidden attraction angle sadly. Still. Just enjoying the atmosphere. The quality of her writing.

I find not reading it linearly is the key. Now I open it at a random oage and read. It’s got wisdom. Yep.
