Sticking with this book is becoming painful.

I’m not sure if it’s because I just finished what is probably my favorite book of the year, or because it feels a little derivative, but I’m having a bit of a hard time enjoying this so far. Since it’s not super long I’m going to finish, and hopefully it’ll get better.

I’ve never read anything by this author before, but so far I’m mesmerized by the beautiful writing and story. I’m a little scared to keep reading for fear the author will botch something and ruin it...but no. I can’t put it down.
