I do find R.C. Sproul’s understanding of the Gospel to be sound - however it at times can be harsh in that he “lightly” discusses righteousness through Christ in his discussion in the first part of this text. Let’s just say he provides no spoilers.

It’s really amazing how tied to honor and shame the book of Romans is. Also - I’ve rarely heard this discrepancy between the law and sin. Paul is clear that sin existed before the law - but how often do we typically think sin and the law are the same? They are not.

So far this is a good read. Lots of minutiae but it’s all meaningful.

After being told that the book wasn't that good, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not the best thing I've ever read but it's a sign lid read this far. About 100 pages to go.

Pretty good so far. This does NOT begin by covering major characters and if you're not familiar with some of the secondary characters like Wedge Antilles, this may not be the book you're looking for. (See what I did there...). :)

Absolutely can't put it down. I feel like I did when I read "The Road." If I put it down, people may die. Great book this far.

Cleaned for a little while and back to reading. Had no idea this book would be this good. So I wonder who's picked up the rights to turn this into a movie? I think Ryan Reynolds or Robert Downey Jr. would play the role of Watney well. Definitely need someone that is good at humor.

Wasn't sure what to expect. I'm feeling hyper nerdy and that I need to retake the chemistry and environmental science courses I took in college. They may one day save my life.

I'm still digging this book and glad that we're moving the story along. Maybe I've just become impatient when it comes to good things. I'm hoping the ending to the situation in the book (no spoilers) is solid.

I'm so used to the autobiographical style of her Vampire Chronicles that at times I can't decide if I love it or hate it. I will say that I love some of the newer characters while at the same time hate that she drags us through some of these stories just to add layers of intrigue...and I'm not always intrigued.

I like this book but it's fairly heavy and not being a huge fan of non-fiction, I'm having to take my time reading it.

I've made it this far into this book and honestly, cannot get into it. I don't like the writing style and so, I'm dropping this.
