The bad guy is a thief and a murderer of women and children, he is not a Christian and he sells pornography! (a fact which has caused one woman to throw up) he is also an alcoholic and a pervert, if not yet a full-blown-rapist. Have I missed anything? Oh, he is also divorced and seals purely for greeds sake, electronics in a world where electronics are obsolete.

Ok I can see the whole turning to religion when things get tough, but it's getting to be a bit much now.

Notes: I'm not sure if Deni's a well-rounded character or just skitzophrenic. One moment she's bimbo, the next, loving neighbour. Liking this so far, even if I don't like any of the characters.

Current tablet read. So far this is proving to me that YA/Childrens books can be well written, they don't have to dum it down to a ridiculous level, it doesn't have to be terrible. I'd almost forgotten ~YA books like that existed.

After I said that, more mentions of soft drinks were suddenly made. This book is kinda harrowing and the more I read it the more it scares me. But also, the more I feel it could have been half as long and maybe been better off for it.

Just a note, these people seem to drink only water or alcohol. No mention of tea, coffee or soft drinks, which you'd think would be popular as a safe(safer) alternative to water.

This book is scary and also profoundly depressing, purely due to how close it comes to a possible reality.

The kindle version of this has been delayed, if not entirely cancelled. :(

Trying to get back into this!
