Oh my god the kindle app is terrible to read on, where is my scroll! A lot of minor points so far, the language is awkward and stilted, his mother has some sort of tourettes , his dad was given a "and he was never seen again" tag and then revived for the next chapter and oh my god the kindle app is terrible. Nicely formatted though.

I spend as much time reading the little notes scribbled on the edges by the previous owner as I do reading the text. Somebody was doing a literature course!

Have had this one lying around for a long time, reprint edition 1942. It's surprisingly obscure, according to goodreads, so I suppose I should give it a proper review.

Does the weird style of dialogue/narration improve?

Somebody gave me this, so far it's all a bit much ATLANTIS. Apparently the people of Atlantis buried their secrets under the Sphinx, also they were totally cool and rad and invented the internet and cars and cranes capable of moving 200~ ton blocks with ease when the rest of the world was still trying to work out Bronze.

This book is very dense.
