ok so I'm remembering why i liked the first one, but oh man this is so long. Like i'm switching back and forth between this and episodes of the Wolf 359 podcast (like nightvale in space!) and that short form content makes me wish this could be a tiny tiny bit more digestible. 6 hectopages is too many hectopages

how is there so much of this book left? not like in a bad way i'm loving it but it feels like we've already hit a climax

this is a bit high concept for me, and I'm less familiar with the inspiration material so it's a struggle, tbh. Shame, bc I like this world and I'll keep going but it's definitely not hooking me the way a Vlad book would.

i'm enjoying the way that this cover echoes that of my audible book. one might think i'm more into dragons than i actually am, but i'll risk it.
