I'm having trouble putting this book down in my classes. I don't usually read books with themes of romance in it, but I hope I can continue to enjoy it as the plot picks up. Also, I just started collecting vinyl records, so having aspects of music and records in the story is really fun to read about. I'm considering making a playlist of the songs highlighted in the book to listen to while re-reading certain scenes.

This book is kind of a collection of all 7 books in the Narnia series. I've watched the movies but I never had the time to read all of the books, so that's what I'm trying to do now. I just finished the first book in the series, The Magician's Nephew. I think it was a really good introduction​ for the books to come, and it set the scene really well.

I'm pretty happy that I finally got to read this book. I'm excited to revisit all the characters from Simon Vs. The Homosapien Agenda.

The author just introduced the antagonists, and the way she described their personalities through their actions were spot on. I can't wait to see the characters develop throughout the rest of the story.

The book has a pretty interesting beginning, and it made me want to keep reading, so I don't think the rest of it will be boring.

I just got to the exposition. The conflict has already arisen, and I'm pretty surprised that it would appear so fast. I really like the book though. The character has sort of been introduced, and the setting is very clear to me.

From what Andrew and Dora both told me, this book is probably going to be really good. Thanks for letting me borrow it, Andrew.

I'm getting to the point of the book where the characters are being re-introduced, and the conflict has just picked up again from where it left off in the fifth book.

I am so so so happy that I found this book in our library. I love this series so much but couldn't get my hands on the last book. Finally, I can conclude the epic journey that this series has taken me on. If anyone hasn't read the other books in the series, I recommend you do so.

This book just doesn't stop getting better and better...

I remember watching the movie in Canada with Matthew, and I can see the similarities between the two, but like every movie adaption of a book, there are some obvious differences as well. I think the book tells a better story, but the movie gives a much better look into the actual OASIS. The book can offer you a vague visualization but the movie actually brings you into the action. They're both really good.

This is my second time reading this book, and I still think this book is really good. I don't remember much about it, so I can't wait to revist the characters and setting again.

The beginning of this book was really slow and confusing but as I continue reading, I think the plot has become more clear to me. I really like the action and suspense that the author can incorporate into the story, and the characters are really cool too.

I'm almost finished reading this book, and I enjoy reading it a lot. It's super heartwarming, and it's great to see how a family develops throughout the book.

I think this book is going to be a really good read as I get further into it. I hope this book will get me more involved in reading more realistic fiction.

This book is extremely fascinating so far. I love the dialogue between the characters and I have a strong feeling that there will be a lot of character development​ as I continue reading.

I love Augustus Waters. He's an amazing character. He's such a nice person and has such a kind soul. I'd be dying to meet someone like Augustus in real life.

This is another book I​ felt I had to re-read so that I could find some deeper meaning.

I'm starting to really hate Kino. He transformed into such a mean person after he found the pearl. I sympathize with​ Juana...

Haha, it was a great idea for me to re-read this book. I first read this back in 2015, when my mind was still innocent and adorable. I had no idea what 50% of the book's content was about. Now that I'm re-reading it I'm like
OHHHHH THAT'S WHAT THAT WORD MEANT. But it's also become a lot deeper and emotional as I truly realize how Clay is feeling through this sad story that Hannah left for him :(

I think I wanted to read this book a second time because I felt like if I read it again, I could pick up on things I didn't notice the first time. That way, I can come to understand Hannah a little better than I do right now.

I think the fact that "great writers never waste knowledge" is starting to sink in for me. It's becoming more and more clear to me that every little detail that Steinbeck puts in is important because it's either foreshadowing or symbolizing something. I think I'm interested in reading more books like this one because having to actually put your mind to work while reading is actually a really fun process.

I'm really loving this book. Every sentence creates a new thought or idea in my head, and I just can't wait to keep reading on.

I love how this book is written so thoughtfully like every sentence has a hidden or deeper meaning. It makes me have to do a lot of thinking, and I like that. A really​ good book so far!

"Esperanza has never held a broom in her life. It couldn't be that hard, she told herself." This is a story about a girl born into a rich household, and then having that torn away from her, which forces her and her family to go do manual labor in the US. The story is about how she goes from having servants and nice dresses, to working in a field while wearing rags instead. It's an awesome book, and I love the author.

"But now that she was a young woman, she understood that he was the housekeeper's son, and she was the ranch owners daughter. Between them ran a deep river." -Page 18

This was interesting because it gave me an insight into the main character. The main character is a girl born into a wealthy, successful family. She is coming to realize what that means, and how she is separated from those with less money, or fortune.

So I'm sort of having a dilemma at home... I finished all the books I have on my shelf and need more to read. If anyone has any book suggestions, please let me know in the comments. Thanks!

So I accidentally made the mistake of reading this book at 10 pm in bed... bad idea. The author made the details really dark, and so descriptive that you can actually visualize what's going on, and that's a bad thing. Not because it's a bad book. Because it's really gruesome and horrifying. There are awesome characters though. One controls fire. One can alter wind. One can show you the true definition of pain...

"Dr. Dewey said that the deepest urge in the human nature is the desire to be important." Page 16

This sentence was interesting. What does feeling important do to a person? And does it affect how they look at others? No matter what the answers are, next time I want a favor from someone, instead of saying, "I'll buy you lunch," I'll make sure I try and make them feel important. Maybe it'll work.
