I still don’t know if I like Alina

I’ve been so preoccupied with school (my classes start thursday) and just everything else going on in the world that I haven’t been reading enough 😪 challenging myself to read 3 books this week!

there’s so much action right now 😱 and Sturmhond is really interesting

I kind of felt like Alina was a weak character in the first book and I knew there was going to be lots of development but.... idk. no one should have that much power.

I wanted to finish this before midnight but that’s not happening

I finally have a break from all the finals craziness, sat down in the student lounge and thought I should read.... long story short I’m now watching Netflix

a school district in Texas has BANNED The Hate U Give. when you do this, you are essentially telling students -especially black students- that their stories and experiences are not important because it’s “uncomfortable” to discuss.

I’m really enjoying this, it’s the first audiobook I’ve been able to get so far into! I kind of have a lot of thoughts since I don’t know page numbers and wasn’t really able to update earlier, but I’ll save it all for the review. Also I want Amanda to tell people but at the same time I don’t! I’m scared for her, I know what it’s like to come out and feel rejected by people you thought cared about you.
