Truth or dare is a bit cheap to get characters talking to each other, but their banter is fun. Also Lucas getting hit in the face with a ball bc of boob distraction is funny

I also love that it seems like most people in the kingdom are fairly normal. Icca in the beginning isn't too wacky or hard to follow, but especially Caro and Hattie are just SO BIZARRE and everyone else is normal. It's so funny

Look girls who get it GET IT and when I say I want terrible evil lesbians this delivers. They literally just driven by their own selfishness the entire time and I am Enthralled. It took me a bit to get used to the writing, but IYKYK and I wish I had more time to finish it rn

Need to recap here:
Hattie wants Icca's void so she can experience real Quiet and transcend or whatever. But also she wants Icca to fight Saints in the races to encourage the masses to practice magic. Also to fuck with both Icca and Caro by making them love each other again? Because the games would be more interesting? I think?
And Icca wants Caro to be in the Races with her to realize Hattie doesn't care about her

Alice not realizing she's so much like the Queen in how she experiments with her magic ooh and I just love how nuts Caro is. She's really convinced herself she loves her life lmao

Really getting into now, just have to roll with the odd, run on kind of style. I love the visceral emotions of every character, and the concepts are just sooo clever and fun

Starting to get into this! It's still overwritten, but I love the lore surrounding the Red queen and her monsters. I like how visceral Icca's hatred is, and how they're both kind of insane when it comes down to it

Okay starting to get a hang of this world, not a huge fan of the style. Everything is pretty over-written, i have to reread every few paragraphs to get it. But still I'm interested in the plot, I hope the characters start to have some personality to them soon though

If this whole thing is going to be written in this weird "whimsical" style I'm going to quickly lose my mind
